She was short and blunt with me. Cut me off and interrupted. Unfriendly, unwelcoming, uninterested. I don't think she fully understanded anything I said. I explained a prescription my previous psych prescribed 3 times and she still got it way wrong (and this med is very important to not gey wrong), said I was lying or wring about one med I was on (I wasnt). Desperately trying to find a new psychiatrist ASAP.

Dr. Chopra provides service through Frances Nelson Healthcare. This is a clinic that exists to serve C-U's low income residents and given their limited resources, they do a stellar job. Dr. Chopra aims to see as many patients as possible, which naturally limits the time she can devote to each person. Her primary function is to assess and to prescribe psychiatric meds. I have been a patient of hers for years and am always impressed that she even manages to provide a small amount of therapy in the brief time allotted. She's a good doctor doing a great job considering the scarcity of mental health care for our financially challenged population.

Has very limited hours and refuses to send prescriptions electronically. Takes a week to fix a mistake in a prescription due to only writing paper ones. Will not write any refils for long term patients without seeing them and receiving money- regardless of medicine.

I had a horrible experience, I told her the Anafranil she prescribed was making me have constant panic and suicidal thoughts (no issue of that before) and she just said to ignore it, "that happens sometime". Very indifferent to my concerns, but very attentive about her payment details.

Extremely short, rude, unhelpful, unsympathetic, and worst of all - continously screws up medication prescriptions and then wants you to have to pay a copay to come meet with her to fix her screw-up.
