Extremely great doctor. Treated my injured knee with the urgency it needed. Him and his team were all kind and attentive to all of my needs. Pre- and post-op appointments were pleasant. High quality medical care overall.

D4. Kolb did an awesome job on my hip in August 2021. Very happy with the results. Staff could not be more helpful, especially Ashley and Kristen (I’m fairly sure this is his nurse. Been dealing with two doctors in the office.)

I had a right knee replacement about 8 weeks ago and my knee pain is minimal and can walk with no cane. He is an excellent surgeon that takes his time to discuss your particular care. I haven't had any complications. I plan on having my left knee replaced by Dr. kolb.

Administrative nursing staff was disorganized and resulted in last minute “hoop jumping” to get preliminary tests and screens completed. Dr. listened to questions, concerns and my feedback. Surgery went well, but a few weeks later, had to be redone due to splitting of bone. No known cause.

Dr. Kolb repaired my arm after a failed surgery from another doctor. He and his staff were very caring and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Kolb performed two total knee replacements on me in 2018. I cannot say enough about how professional and wonderful he and his staff are. I am so pleased with the results. His staff made what could have been a very stressful time much less worrisome. I am two years out and fully recovered.

Knee replacement surgery was done 1 year ago, still have pain and also numbness from my knee 1/2 way down my leg. Every time I saw him he took an x-Ray & told me give it time it will be fine, come back in 6 weeks. I’d go back, the same routine & comments (he’d spend about 5 min. then go). The 3rd time I said no to the x-ray & just saw him, but it was the same 5 min. This went on for 5 months. I stopped seeing him. He had no idea why my leg was numb so there was no point in paying him more for the same answers & routine. He didn’t even try to figure out what was wrong.

It’s been 9 months since surgery, I still have pain and movement issues. My leg below the knee @ the knee is stills numb (I’ve never had this before surgery). He has me come in every 5-6 weeks and all he says is “give it time” and leaves. My other knee was done a few years ago by someone else and no problems like this. I wanted surgery done at St. Joe and his office is in a St. Joe facility is why I went to him. I asked the first time if the surgery would be done at St. Joe, he said yes, no problem. When it came time to do surgery he told me he has to do it at Advocate. I reminded him he had told me he would do it at St. Joe. He said he preferred Advocate and he wouldn’t be able to schedule it for at least 6 months at St. Joe. So he wasn’t honest with me.

Dr. Kolb has amazing ortho surgical skills, he is thorough, has great bedside manner, and is very caring! He takes time to explain everything in detail, as well as answer my questions and listen to my concerns. Wouldn't go anywhere else if the need arises again. Wonderful Physician's Assistant, Shawn Rudicil and great staff all around!

Dr Kolb and his staff made me feel very comfortable and always made sure I understood everything! They were absolutely amazing and I recommend him to everyone!
