List of MIchael S. Smith's Reviews
Dr. Smith performed my LEEP and Colposcopy. All options were discussed with me and we decided that the LEEP and Colposcopy were best. He explained the procedure in detail prior to surgery and was very thorough in his evaluation. In pre-op he stopped by to see me and calm my nerves. He and his staff ensured that I was very comfortable before, during, and after surgery. He is very professional and kind. My recovery time was minimal. Five well deserved stars!
Dr.Smith is very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. My appointment with him went very well. I felt his general concern for health. The nurses were also very helpful and encouraging at my visit. 5 well-deserved stars.
Found he lied on my medical records. Embellished my words from "occasional cramping" to severe cramps and some heavier periods to very heavy periods. I think he was justifying unnecessary hysterectomy where he leveraged my bladder. When I first met him he have me 100% of his attention. TERRIBLE surgical skills!
I saw Michael Smith on August 2, 2017. I was going to have him do my sterilization surgery. I actually had already discussed with my gynecologist what I wanted, and we'd come to a decision. When speaking with him, I asked the risks. He only gave one. I was surprised at the lack of information. I later received my service estimate in the mail, which had additional items on it. When I called about this, I found out he'd put them in my chart. Flat-out lies!!! I will never go to him again.
I saw Michael Smith on August 2, 2017. I was going to have him do my sterilization surgery. I actually had already discussed with my gynecologist what I wanted, and we'd come to a decision. When speaking with him, I asked the risks. He only gave one. I was surprised at the lack of information. The risk he cited concerned my weight. Given my weight, he should have cited at least one other risk that I happen to know. I later received my service estimate in the mail, which had additional items on it (to the tune of almost $10k, pre-insurance). When I called about this, I found out he'd put them in my chart. Flat-out lies!!! I will never go to him again, and DO NOT recommend him. If it were not for the fact that I recognized a term on the estimate, and called, I've no doubt he would have done both of the things we hadn't even discussed -- one I hadn't even heard of until I was told what the abbreviation was for by the staff.
I recommend Dr. Smith. He cares about you and is great and thorough at what he does
In my opinion Dr Smith is unprofessional and unqualified to run a Da Vinci robot.
Dr. Smith has helped me with every issue and is straight to the point on my options.
Dr. Smith is relaxed, personal and easy to speak with. He is professional.
Unfortunately, I had to have a D&C recently for a miscarriage, and he was the first available OB/GYN that my midwife could schedule me with. He seemed to do the procedure without complications, but I just really didn't like him. He has an air of false sympathy, and made some distinctly non-feminist remarks during my pre-op and post-op appointments. My husband asked him why he got into OB/GYN and he said "Because I'm good at it. In fact, I often joke with my female colleagues that all they have to do to get clients is be female, while I actually have to be good." I'm sure they find that to be a hilarious joke. He also repeatedly referred to his patients as "girls." Hello, I'm a grown woman, and I am pretty sure almost all of his patients are, too. I will not see him again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
