What a great man

The day after my daughter was sent to the ER for a possible appendicitis, Dr. Johnston actually knocked on my door to ask how she was feeling. Good old school, compitent, kind doctors are still around. His name is Ben Johnston. Thank you for your knowledge, and kindness.

Dr. Johnston is a credit to his profession. He actually listens and explains what he is doing and why. Very few doctors take the time to really listen anymore. Dr. Johnston combines modern medicine with old fashioned values.

My husband and I travel full time in a motorhome and are visiting Rantoul, IL at the moment. Our Doctors are in Florida and I will not be back there till December 2017. Unfortunately I had a flare up of bursitis in my hip and could not get any urgent care to give me an injection directly in my hip (which is what was needed). Thankfully, Christie Clinic Convenient Care connected me to Dr. Ben Johnston and he understood my situation and cared enough to help me. Because of his caring, I will have my pain taken care of and be able to enjoy the rest of my travels. The world needs many more people who think and care like Dr. Ben. Dr. Johnston is by far the most caring, compassionate and thorough doctor I have ever encountered. He has treated our entire family, and every visit has been an exceptional experience. Whether we were seeing him for something minor, an emergency or a chronic illness, we left with a detailed care plan, and the relief of knowing Dr. Johnston treated us with the "treat the whole person" approach. Dr. Johnston takes time to listen to his patients' concerns, and takes even more time explaining things simply, yet in a detailed manner. I would trust Dr. Johnston with my life.

I can't thank Dr. Johnston enough for all of his professional expertise and personal attention. I am a Navy wife and I was 2000 miles away from home when my medical situation developed. Dr. Johnston and his team expedited my labs and got me on the road to recovery and put my mind at ease while being fast, courteous and thorough. I am so grateful for my medical insurance and to be taken care of by such an excellent medical institution, Dr. Johnston and his staff.

Ben provided immediate help as well as continued to offer options & help along the way. Came to him with a problem, he looked at the whole picture & helped in the ways he could, and had no problem referring me to another person he thought could offer more help. Great follow-up even over a span of months.

He listens really well and also lets you know what he's doing and why he's doing it in a way other people can understand. Everytime i visit and hes the doctor to see me he knocks, shakes my hand and say nice to see you again. He not only does this but he also has just regular bedside manners. He remembers his patients and always makes sure to tell me to tell my mother he says hi. My father hates doctors and he has told us "if i had a doctor like him them i would actually go to my appointments because he doesnt have a stick shoved up his butt and actually listens." He's a great doctor and i would every much recommend him and would really like it if he would become my primary.

Dr. Johnston (aka Ben) is such an amazing doctor! He sincerely listened to my mother, conducted the right tests and acted SO quickly to get next steps in action. He literally saved my mother's life and I and my family are in his debt. Even when we went under the care of a specialist he followed up with my mother to check on her status. I give him my highest recommendation. Anyone who has him as their doctor should consider themselves very luck. Thank you, Dr. Johnston! Meagan
