"Maybe the best surgeon in the world (idk) but aftercare is totally worthless. Be prepared to advocate for yourself or you will be left shivering and crying in bed for weeks in pain. You won't see the Dr. again and will only get to discuss your pain and surgery 6 weeks afterwards with the PA. Make sure to talk to the Dr. about pain care after the surgery before you agree to anything. Perhaps Christi really just cant handle this level of medical service. Reduced to one star. My recovery has been very problematic. Mostly due to trauma of being intense pain for weeks. I continue to have issues walking and having inflammation in the knee. Almost a year out from surgery I still am trying to mentally recover."

I have been very happy with the results of my total knee replacement. Very caring and great bedside manner! A great big shout out for his PA, Don. Wonderful guy with a lot of knowledge in orthopedics. May I just say, if you are looking for and Orthopedic surgeon, look no further! Picture is 9 months post-op
I found Dr. Cusick caring and knowledgeable. He was able to accommodate my request for a speedy knee replacement. I'm recovering well. His entire staff was polite and accessible. They all worked together to make sure I got good care, I'm grateful to them all.
Dr. Cusick was a great listener. He was able to accommodate my knee replacement surgery quickly as I requested. I found him caring and knowledgeable as was his staff.
This review is long overdue, it will be 3 years next month since Dr Cusick replaced both my knees. Things couldn't have went any better than they did, my life has completely changed for the better. I went into surgery very nervous weighing in at 340lbs, I now weigh 185lbs and can walk for miles. At 59 I've been able to go back to work, I can mow my own yard and the PAIN IS GONE! My back pain is gone and obviously my knees feel great. No pain also mean no pain meds, with the weight loss I don't need blood pressure medication either. I can't thank you enough Dr Cusick!
Dr. Cusick was very informative, asked a lot of questions and listened. I was thoroughly satisfied with my first consultation visit.
Doctor Cusick who is a Christie surgeon won't do surgeries at OSF, he sends his patients to Carle for surgeries which is different ter level. Now I got to pay 5400 to Carle thanks Doctor Cusick.
Dr. Cusick was great explaining procedure and communication. However, follow up and communication has been very very difficult. Monday 11/15 We have spoke to Ann and she advised us Donald the PA would be handling questions, medication and issues. There has been virtually no response after asking for a direct phone call to the patient!!! & multiple phone calls. Tuesday 11/16/21 again multiple calls by myself and the patient re: medication needed. Ann assured Donald would be calling in medication as he was in surgery today. . 6:30Pm called answering service and was told they don’t handle medication calls! Walgreens has no records of medication called in. Walgreens are willing to take a verbal over the phone or email from the Dr or PA!!! Praying my husband can get the needed medication tonight before Walgreens closes!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
