Dr. Shadid is the very best of doctors. Kind, compassionate and always helpful.

Office is professional, courteous, helpful and happy!! The St. Charles office is busy, but your needs are not overlooked. The PAs and Dr. Shadid are exceptionally competent and have pleasant “bedside manners.” Dr. Shadid performed surgery on my left hand, Carpel Tunnel Release, and I could not b more pleased with my visits or surgery. Healing with no post operative issues.

I would not recommend Dr. Shadid to anyone. His Oak Park location has some of the worst customer service and logistics I have ever seen from an orthopedic provider. They take on too many appointments and are behind several hours EVERY visit (I’ve been there 5 times for a broken hand and have waited at least an hour on each visit).Dr. Shadid is not who you are getting here, either. I have never met, let alone seen Dr. Shadid in this location in the 4 times I’ve been. The clinical opinion here is that of a PA, not a doctor.Go anywhere else in Chicago. There is a reason it is so easy to get an appointment here, because most people would rather go anywhere else. Save yourself time, money and effort and visit a REAL orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Shadid is caring, empathetic and highly skilled. He approaches each case as a unique individual for care and treatment. He allows time for a thorough consultation. Dr. Shadid replaced my hip and returned my life to a pain free and active lifestyle even at 70 years of age.

I was referred to Genesis Orthopedics, Dr. Shadid, by my primary care provider after yet another visit to the ER regarding severe pain in my hips and an inability to walk. Dr. Shadid and his amazing team were attentive, compassionate, and caring. X-rays revealed severe arthritis in my hip joints. They were bone on bone. Both his PA Elliott Johnson and Dr. Shadid recommended surgery. I was ready. By this point, I could not find a non-narcotic pain reliever strong enough. I tried many and ate them like candy, but none of them completely relieved my pain. They would dull the ache enough for me to keep working, but I still had difficulty walking let alone climb stairs. I knew popping pills like I was was not healthy, so I was searching. I thought about occupations I could do from a wheelchair because that’s where I believed I was headed. “Thank You!” Just isn’t sufficient to express the debt of gratitude I feel for Dr. Shadid & Genesis Orthopedics. Dr. Shadid replaced both my hip joints in a three-month period. My second surgery was Aug 24, 2021. I have not needed any pain relievers since about a week after that surgery. I have had no pain. I have not needed assistance from a cane or a walker either. I can climb up and down stairs. I could train for a marathon if I want to. Dr. Shadid gave me my life back. I am eternally grateful. I am thankful to God for bringing Dr. Shadid and Genesis Orthopedics in my life. I am so blessed. If I ever need any other joints replaced in the future, I am definitely going to see Dr. Shadid. If you are reading this and looking for an excellent surgeon with an excellent reputation, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

When I had knee problems 5yrs ago, Dr Shadid was referred by my primary physician. He treated my torn meniscus & I was very happy with the results. Made appt to see him again with new complaints. Was very happy with my appointment and his recommendations.

Although, Doctor Shadid is an amazing doctor, I have felt rushed on several visits.

I can do nothing more, than to thank Dr Shadid and his family of employees. They make me feel very comfortable there.
