Fantastic doctor! Dr.Akbar has been my doctor and my husband and boys doctor for 20 years! She has caught every issue we gave ever had. Every mystery illness has been caught by her. She had literally saved my sons life twice. Don’t think twice, she knows what she is doing.

I never leave negative reviews because most of the time I try to assume the best in people. But people need to know that Dr. Akbar is NOT worth seeing. She legitimately told me I should "google" my questions that I asked her and that I should "google" a medication she offered to decide if I want to take it. I went to her to get a medical opinion from someone who specializes in the endocrinology field and the best she could do was to tell me to "google it". If I wanted to "google it" I would have done that instead of wasting my time/money in her office. I'm just beyond disappointed. Clearly this doctor has no wish to actually help patients. Save your time and money and find someone else.

Terrible. She didn't even know you are supposed to balance out estrogen with progesterone until after my second round of BioTe pellets. Won't take Care Credit, either, unless your costs is over $1,000 even though Care Credit says the minimum is $400. She told me, in the waiting room before getting my second round of BioTe pellets, that I was going to get cancer if I didn't get a hysterectomy. Last I checked, Dr. Akbar, you're not a gynecologist. I gained a lot of weight on BioTe. When I told her I was still working out virtually every day and not over-eating, she interrupted me and said she's not a nutritionist. She kept upping my thyroid meds (which I don't know if I ever needed in the first place) and my hair started shedding really badly. Bottom line, she really doesn't know what she's doing.

She is great. She has no staff. You wait and wait. No phone calls to you are returned for days. Unless you are prepared to ask all your questions don't expect them to .ca you.

This doctor was not very informative, tried giving me medication I didn’t need and was very rude and short with me when j would try to ask questions. Definitely would not recommend!
