I have FINALLY found a masseuse that does more than rub oil on me, mildly caress my body (if that) and then add insult to injury by yip yapping the entire time. I have sincerely been on the hunt for a good therapeutic masseuse on and off for years. I got serious about the hunt again this summer and after starting to think this was a fruitless search bc no such unicorns exist, I was graced with the miracle of unearthing Tina Carlton. While luxury, frou frou massages at spas have their place, Tina is the real deal for a quality therapeutic massage. She understands how the body works, has a feel for trigger points and a thorough understanding of how the musculoskeletal system plays off one another. She has a solid grasp on how an imbalance in the musculoskeletal system can manifest in the body in other ways. Not only can she assist those with chronic pain, fibromyalgia and the sort, but she also offers relaxation to her clients... I mean she even massages your ears, scalp and face, people!!! And her neck traction trick at the end of a session is a godsend for my ever-cranky neck. She is not for the faint of heart, so be ready to get some therapeutic work done when you see her, i.e. no pain, no gain (but it's not unreasonable or excruciating, so don't chicken out). I look fwd to seeing how we can incorporate some of her other treatment modalities like cupping, Reiki and even acupuncture (even though I love my regular acupuncturist) into my future therapeutic massage sessions. If you are looking for a true healer, reach out to Tina. You truly won't regret it!

Have been a patient for years. Tina is a really caring person, she combines acupuncture with massage, cupping etc. and the combination always produces great results. I also love that she takes her time and only has one client at a time. She's the best!

First Rate. I have been going here since 2005. I absolutely love it and Tina is the best. She is easy to talk to, understanding and compassionate and always has time to listen. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I had a serious illness in 2005 and went weekly to Tina who helped me through my horrendous chemotherapy. I am a believer in Complimentary medicine and she affords me the opportunity to try something different than the Western paradigm of healing I grew up with.

I highly recommend Advanced Acupuncture & Massage to anyone seeking holistic healthcare. After having undergone 3 major surgeries within 9 months - 1 appendectomy and 2 obstructed bowel -I contracted C-Diff. I suffered the after effects of C-Diff for months. Neither the surgeon nor the MD made the simple recommendation Ms. Carlton of Advanced Acupuncture & Massage made, which was to take probiotics in fairly large doses. The treatments and recommendations received from this highly skilled Acupuncturist/Herbalist completely resolved the issues within a few months of my seeking help. More recently injured my Sciatic nerve. The pain worsened and I called Advanced Acupuncture & Massage and after 3 treatments and wearing a medicinal plaster at night, I am 90 % relieved of the pain and expect to be back to normal shortly.

Tina Carton is the best in both acupuncture and massage. She spends time listening and gathering information before each treatment. She delivers each with care and compassion. Most importantly, what she does works! I began working with acupuncture to help alleviate anxiety and stress related to menopause. Now, I return regularly to maintain good health and well-being. She is a gift.

Tina is the best! I've seen her for years, and she has helped with everything from hay fever to depression to joint pain to the various issues I experienced during and after my pregnancy. She is a gifted practitioner; she does wonderful things with acupucture, herbs, massage, and more. In addition to her skill at healing, Tina has a way of making each client feel heard and supported. I have been going to Tina Carlton on and off for nearly 20 years. When I first started to see Tina it was mainly for massage to help with some dance injuries or flare-ups.
