Dr. Reshef gets to know you personally and doesn’t make you feel like a number. He personalizes treatment for best results
After paying thousands out of pocket for treatment to begin treatment, somehow scheduling the actual baseline appointment is near impossible when all the injections are suppose to start end of this week. Cannot reach anyone by phone for an appointment that’s supposed to be scheduled within the next three days. Called in the morning, told that a call back would be done by 3pm. Did not receive call back. Responded on patient portal, nothing. Called again at 3:15PM. Put on infinite hold then straight to voicemail. Every call after straight to voice mail. I cannot plan work and life schedule around appointment times that can’t even be scheduled 3 days ahead of time.
I had a 4 minute appointment that should have never been scheduled. I was looking to transfer embryos that were created an egg donor. This is. It allowed at their clinic. Instead of telling me that via email, they schedule an appointment and I need to pay $250 for a 4 minute conversation that should have been told to me when I called requesting information. I do not recommend AFC, this is horrible business practice.
I really wanted to go through this clinic for my journey but I decided not too. First reason is they want you to go through a pyschoeducational consultation which can't be paid through insurance $300 for 15 minutes as what the young lady I reached out to set my appointment. And they I stated which fertility procedure I wanted to go through and they sent a message with cost of other procedures that I didn't even mention wanting to go through. I can go on but I won't. Just 10/10 do not recommend 😒
I would give zero stars if I could. My partner and I waited 2 weeks for a consultation, which was already a stretch given then reason for our visit. The morning of, they cancel our appointment due to “missing paperwork.” I had submitted all of my paperwork, and my partner was unfortunately missing some things. We had already made plans with work to ensure we were both present for the call. When going through the stressful experience of trying for a baby and being unsuccessful, the last thing you want is to deal with a facility that just treats you like a number. Cancelling the appointment at 7:45a the morning of is completely unprofessional and callous. The paperwork was due at 8am btw. What a joke.
Dr. Tumi was absolutely amazing she listened to everything that my partner and I wanted and gave us the best options available. The whole team at AFCC is just superb. I would definitely recommend this clinic and any of the doctors there.
I never even made it to my first appointment with a doctor, and that tells you everything you need to know about this clinic. After scheduling our initial consultation, we were informed TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE that incomplete health history forms would result in appointment cancellation. Fine - except when my husband and I missed completing some paperwork (yes, literally just paperwork), they cancelled our appointment with zero flexibility or willingness to work with us. Let me be crystal clear: this is a fertility clinic. Patients are already stressed, emotional, and dealing with one of the most difficult journeys of their lives. We're not talking about a missed payment or a no-show - we're talking about administrative forms that cover medical history that would be discussed during the appointment anyway. The complete lack of empathy or accommodation for new patients is astounding. No grace period. No "can you complete this before your appointment?" No understanding that people dealing with fertility issues might already be overwhelmed. Just a hard cancellation and back to square one. If this is how Prelude/Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago treats prospective patients during onboarding, I have zero confidence in how they'd handle the infinitely more complex and sensitive aspects of actual fertility treatment. Their rigid, bureaucratic approach prioritizes forms over people. There are other fertility clinics in Chicago that understand their patients are human beings going through a difficult process, not just entries in a database. Save yourself the frustration and find a clinic that treats you with the compassion this journey deserves.
I do not write this lightly as I know just how important choosing a clinic is on your fertility journey, but I feel the need to speak up after witnessing the less than ideal experience my friend had with Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago. I watched first hand as excitement and anticipation turned into disappointment and sadness as she went through the process here. In the beginning, she liked the doctor and team she met with and got her initial test results quickly. She was assured that the process could happen in a timely fashion and they would keep her informed through out the testing and preparation process. She purchased all the necessary supplies including expensive supplements. She also prepared for this financially by setting aside FSA money last year to be able to use towards this process. Spoiler alert: she was not able to use the FSA money as the clinic's lack of professionalism led to the process extending outside of 2025 and into 2026. After the initial few days of communication with the clinic, they essentially ghosted her for weeks at a time. She would reach out for updates and they wouldn't reply until she contacted them multiple times each time they ghosted her. After weeks of essentially no communication, she reached out to let them know that she would like the medical records and test results that they had already conducted as she was going to find a new clinic due to lack of communication. They STILL didn't respond until she threatened legal action. The nurse manager apologized and asked to make the situation right in a believable, "caring" manner. My trusting friend decided to give them another chance with the stipulation of wanting to know what went wrong during the initial process and what would happen next so that she could be fully prepared to move forward. The nurse manager ghosted her AGAIN for over a week until she reached out and officially told them she was no longer going to work with them. The nurse manager still didn't have the decency to respond as someone else replied to my friend's message even though she was assured the nurse manager was looking into the process personally. When she wrote a review on the internet, someone replied asking if she would have a conversation with the nurse manager so that they could again, make the situation right. This would be the same nurse manager who already ghosted her. All of this to say, a fertility journey is not one taken lightly and is stressful enough in and of itself. You should have a caring team that you can trust to keep you informed throughout the process. No one should have to go through what she went through emotionally and financially in this situation. Protect yourself or your friends and choose a DIFFERENT clinic than Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago.

I truly wish I could give this clinic a negative rating. I am 31 and recently began my egg‑freezing journey after doing extensive research. I chose Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago based on reviews, social media, statistics, and the impression I got from my initial consultation. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has been nothing short of heartbreaking and incredibly stressful. I had my first consultation in October 2025 and genuinely liked the doctor. I felt hopeful after meeting with the care team, patient coordinator, and financial team--everything you expect from a reputable fertility clinic. My initial testing was completed without issue, and I received my hormone results a few days later (which was fine). But from that point forward, everything completely fell apart. I waited weeks for my AMH results and any communication about next steps. I emailed multiple times and received no response. I rearranged vacations, changed plans with friends, bought all the necessary supplies, and prepared my FSA to cover the procedure--all based on what I was told would be a straightforward timeline. After a full month with no updates, I was still told things like "the financial team is working on it" or "planning nurses have it," but nothing ever actually moved forward. Because of the delays and silence, I ultimately had to spend the remainder of my FSA dollars on unrelated eligible items just so I wouldn't lose them--money that was originally saved specifically for this procedure. This was devastating, especially after being told I would have no issues completing the process before year‑end. Only after I stated I was filing a complaint did I finally receive a response. A nurse manager apologized, said she did not know what happened, and asked if I would consider continuing with them. I responded with very basic and reasonable requests--an explanation, the financial estimate I had been promised months earlier, and clear next steps. Once again, I received no reply. Another week passed, and that was the final straw. I am now filing a formal complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services and feel compelled to share my experience so others don't go through the same emotional, financial, and logistical hardship. This clinic has cost me significant time, money, and peace of mind. What should have been an empowering and exciting step in my life was overshadowed by stress, silence, and complete disorganization. I now have to start this entire process over--with anxiety and disappointment hanging over me--because of how poorly this clinic handled my care. I would strongly encourage anyone considering egg freezing or fertility treatment to look elsewhere.
