Athletico Physical Therapy's Online Review Report Card

I’m very happy with the physical therapy I’ve received at this Athletico location. My primary therapist, Lawrence, has helped me to gain more flexibility and strength. He was patient and observant. I’m appreciative that he reviewed stretches and exercises with me so that I can continue my progress.

Nina is hands down the best PT I’ve had. She has excellent customer service and bedside manners. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients. She’s detail oriented and she will help you achieve your goals. I’ve had about 20 sessions with her, and I’ve never seen her in a bad mood. She’s always cheerful. Always helpful. She’s super human.

My primary doctor referred me to this place for my chronic neck pain. I went in for an appointment on 11/11/2022 and this place felt like a scam. Both the front desk lady and the therapist I saw were EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL for the following reasons:1. SECRETIVE ABOUT PRICING: Before the appointment started, I specifically asked for a quote for the whole treatment but the front desk lady said she had no clue and I would need to call some one else to get the pricing information. I was charged $500 after the first appointment but I was not provided with any bill explaining what that was for. 2. THERAPIST SHOWED ZERO BASIC MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE: During the appointment, the therapist first reviewed my medical history and referral and concluded that my prescription for CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING meant a CERVICAL SPINE X RAY and suggested me to go to orthopedics. 3. FRONT DESK,NOT THERAPIST, DECIDED MY TREATMENT FREQUENCY: after evaluating my condition, the therapist just couldn't make a decision on the frequency of my treatment using his PT training but had to ask the front desk lady, who had zero idea of my condition, to give a suggestion. 4. NECK PAIN BECAME WORSE AFTER FIRST APPOINTMENT: During the appointment, the therapist showed me two exercises that I can do at home and had me practice at the clinics. However, while I was practicing, he was almost looking at his laptop for the entire time instead of making sure that I was doing it correctly. After the practice, my neck pain got much worse and I had to use pain killers to relieve it. 5. CHARGED ME FOR FUTURE APPOINTMENTS THAT I CANCELLED: After my first appointment, I emailed them to cancel all my future appointments. However, they still charged my insurance company for the future appointments that they made before even evaluated my condition. And when they made the appointment, they told me that they were just putting down a couple place holders in case I need them. Stay away from this place.

Nina is so good a Therapist. She is warm, friendly, nice, and awesome, the most important is that she is expert in the injury recovery field. She perfume the duty so well. I believe that she can help me greatly on my recovery.

I am athletic and very active in many sports, and unfortunately I’ve been to quite a few physical therapists over the years and Athletico Streeterville is by far the best ever! From the moment I walked in the door I felt Very welcomed by the serene, smiling and efficient Marisol. I have been under the care of Nina and she is an amazing physical therapist! She is always positive, encouraging, professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. And did I’m mention patient! She really cares about each of her patients and gives them her undivided attention. I love that she thoroughly explains how to properly execute each exercise, models the exercise and watches to make sure I am performing it properly. Thanks to Nina I’ve come along way since the day I walked in after my rotator cuff surgery sporting an arm sling and wondering if I’d ever be able to play golf, tennis, pickle ball, bike, paddle board and lift weights again! I highly recommend Nina no matter what your physical therapy need is!

Great PT facility! Nina is a terrific therapist who listens well and addressed all my concerns. The facility is well run, clean, quiet and overall very positive experience.

This is a great place for recovery. The spot itself is calming and clean. Reuben is simply awesome. His sessions helped me greatly. He answers to the point and provides his honest opinion and works with you to ensure speedy recovery. I enjoyed my sessions with Nina and Maya - they were incredible and work hard to help you recover quickly. The entire team sets you up for success with home exercises. Another plus for me is that they sanitize and change covers after every session. The first session is usually free, so if you are contemplating on PT, I’d recommend giving this location a try.
