My experience My experience at athletico with Jen and molly Was superb. They did everything To accommodate my condition Dates times.. Hey spend extra time and Hey spend extra time and teaching Me how to take care of my injury and exercises to do on a daily basis They were They were kinda extremely kind and professional. I was very upset with my surgery was going through a lot of emotionally and They did so much and make it in my recovery The best that it could be. My recovery was based on a lot of hard work from Jen and molly And I made a great recovery. I would recommend them highly to anyone I have a surgery coming up In January and I will be going to athletic for my recovery program. I want to thank Jen and molly for everything they did You guys are great I meant the world to me.
Everyone there is warm and cordial, giving the best possible care at this strip-mall store front, that is easily accessible from the Lawrence bus line (81?).I've been having my shoulder treated for a torn rotator cuff, with good results.
I'll admit, when my doctor referred me to Athletico, I was skeptical. My previous experience with physical therapy was in a more boutique setting and I was scared of being treated like a customer instead of a patient. I couldn't have been more wrong. My care team of Liz a.k.a. Monster Truck (an awesome and extremely professional therapist who clearly enjoys her job and helping her patients), Michael (who's anticipatory skills bordered on precognition), and Francisco (the friendly front desk person who made all the numbers add up) were caring professionals who listened well to my concerns, produced an effective and engaging treatment plan, and helped me execute that plan and regain a lot of pain free function and mobility in my ankle. Thank you all!
I went for physical therapy for my tennis elbows and my neck pain. Liz was my therapist. She's absolutely fantastic. I immediately felt a difference after just a short time. She's professional, demanding, but very personable. She also prepared a whole list of exercises for me so I can use them at home, which very helpful. The entire staff at this particular location was very nice and helpful. I hope I don't have deal with any more pain anytime soon, but if I do I will definitely choose Liz again!
I highly recommend Athletico at the Albany Park location. I have been coming here for a few weeks, working on my left knee with Liz, and I have seen a lot of improvement. I was diagnosed with arthritis at the age of 29 a year ago, and have had physical therapy for a few months before at another place, and did not have as much success as I have had here with Liz. I have suffered from severe depression as a result of my arthritis, and since attending physical therapy here I have found hope and a more positive outlook. I am able to go for a longer walk and I feel much more comfortable now, I am able to go up the stairs without the extreme pain that I have been having for months and overall, I feel more positive about being able to manage my condition in the future. Liz has been tremendously supportive and encouraging; her energy is amazing and I am truly grateful to her for help she has been giving me. I look forward to attenting my sessions with Liz!!! Thank you.
I highly recommend this team, specifically Nina and Liz. I worked with this crew for a long stretch recovering from shoulder surgery and they were incredible I getting me back to full functionality! Highly professional and personable, making the time enjoyable while doing the often hard work.
This was the only place where I could get the exact hours convenient to me! A schedule to fit my needs not theirs. That was the beginning of my therapy already. The staff is very friendly. Nina was my therapist and she is also the manager. Handling the early hours she'd juggle her duties and patients, sometimes singlehandedly before the other therapist arrived, yet she balanced everything perfectly. Nina's years of experience was obvious as she worked on my problem she knew exactly what I needed. Beyond her formal education, she is a truly gifted therapist knowledgeable and sensitive to the therapy needed uniquely for me as an individual. I always left here feeling like a million bucks! Thanks so much Nina and Kim, the assistant who made sure I did my exercises correctly.
Everyone here is kind and professional!Liz has been making my neck and shoulder feel better for a few weeks now. She's got the system down - she can work on my neck while she is encouraging other patients in their exercises, all the while we are chatting about our days or our aches and pains. She listens to you and your body and describes what she thinks would be best, then asks you how you feel about it. But you know what? Just take her advice - she knows. Francesca and John are wonderful aides, both knowledgeable in their field, good-hearted, always smiling and cheerful. My shoulder is getting better and I'm going to miss seeing this crew every week.
Last week I scheduled my assessment. I showed up 15 minutes early. I had to buzz to be let in. I entered. No one said hello or welcome or ask my name. Someone doing therapy with a patient across the room told someone to get my id and insurance card. The receptionist (if that is who she was since she wasn't at the desk) told me (not asked me) to fill out a survey. I sat down and began. The therapist from across the room came over eventually and asked for my doctor script. She told me because I was on Medicare that she could not work on me without it. The next available appointment was not for 4 days though I explained my therapy was for 3 times a week. Had they told me last week that they didn't have time to see me I wouldn't be so angry. Terrible customer service! There is another location less than a mile away. I guess they don't need the business. I was surprised by all the great praise for this staff.
Liz is a great physical therapist and the whole staff is great. I have had the unfortunate experience of working with a variety of physical therapists and have found that some will push their program for recovery of your injury on you regardless of how your body is responding--which likely works for many of their patients. An excellent PT, however, tailors her program not only to the injury but also to the patient's body's response, and Liz does this. She is a pleasure to work with.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
