Similar to other experiences here, was having severe pain, sent me for an MRI, and didn't even bother to follow up to discuss. My PT explained the results and I never heard from him again. Dude sucks big time find a doctor that gives a shit.

Very caring doctor. He takes his time with patients and is very knowledgeable. Best primary care doc I’ve ever had.

Doctor seemed fine. It was my first annual physical and he asked if I wanted to do lab tests. I did not know they are not covered under the annual physical. Would have been nice if they told. The staff put wrong codes and we had to pay a hefty sum for a simple physical. The lab tests were done incorrectly and one measurement was out of the normal range. They asked me to come in again to do the lab work. The measurement changed and everything was normal. But because they made us pay for a physical that was supposed to be free, I will not be returning here.

The next time you think about making any use of this physician and/or his office, be sure to do just that: Think about it. Then move on, quickly. Ambulate away. Imitate Jim Ryun, in fact, if you can. Speaking of "walking", as it were, a significant other to me made the mistake of having this provider as her internist, and recently learned something about his and his nurse/aide's mettle or, more accurately, lack thereof, the outcome of which was pathetic at best, pernicious and health impacting at worse. The patient contacted him with severe lower extremity pain secondary to trauma. She calls his office and is instructed by the dolt that is his nurse to "go to the ER" which is precisely what she foolishly did without prospectively asking me, one who has seen this type of inane response from under trained, lazy AHPs my entire career. Anyway, the patient spends 13 hours in the Rush University Medical Center ER (Thorek South for those who have had the privilege) and, $4800 and 13 hours later, ambulates, but barely, out of this hellhole not one bit better than she was upon foolishly entering the milieu that is the disaster that is Rush University Medical Center ER. During that time, the patient endured a Doppler lower extremity Ultasound to rule out DVT (right side, no bilateral study was done) and plain radiographs. A clueless resident/intern/unknown tells the patient "we see some arthritis" and that was about as much diagnostic information provided. Hours pass, and nothing else is done. Staff provides Motrin to alleviate pain and ultimately discharges the patient with an ill-fitting walking boot which, if she had difficulty walking pre-provision, did nothing more than exacerbate this condition. The patient was provided no discharge plan, no written instructions and told only to follow up with her referring physician, which she does. She asks for pain medication, which took him 8 days to get around to ordering and maintains his need for an MRI study, which he/his nurse/aide orders from a logjammed inpatient facility at Rush. Said facility's backlog precludes immediate diagnosis of the patient's condition, but this matters little to the ivory tower, who tells her that "yeah, Rush is really busy" apparently not thinking for one second what could be done to ameliorate her extreme pain (9/10) not to mention the $4800 payment that her Blues plan essentially flushed down the nearby sewer, at Harrison and Paulina, for absolutely nothing helpful to the card carrying Blues holder. As to why these "caregivers" couldn't find an alternative outpatient imaging center that could have accommodated the patient same or next day with an ensuing read hours, not weeks, thereafter, is anybody's guess. A caring physician would have called in a favor, gotten on the phone with the MRI center and told it "look, I have a patient with extreme right lower extremity pain and I need a stat MRI to rule out osteomyelitis" or, absent that, at least have the gumption to sympathetically introspect about/for the patient in pain, unable to wait 2 weeks while the mother ship gets around to accommodating her, get off his a--- and find an alternative center. None of this happened, and, added to the 8 days patient had to wait for a simple pain relief script called to Walgreen's and the $4800 charge that this bundled incident of non-existent care cost, you get the picture. Remember a day when the physician-patient relationship was sacred, sacrosanct and the PCP, perhaps Marcus Welby-like in appearance and/or demeanor, actually advocated for his/her/its patients' best interests? Yeah, I do too, but United Airlines stopped flying DC-8s around the last time this was actually and pervasively an integral part of our health care system. Our experience using this physician, and his very limited and disengaged office staff, does nothing to disabuse anybody involved in this cluster that those days are gone forever, never, ever to return.

Too little too late Dr. Yuck became my primary physician after Dr. Jamie son recommended him. I left him because he was extremely late to appointments multiple times, and them spent about 30 seconds with me. I am talking over 2 hours late, at least 3 times. The excuse that something came up got worn out. While waiting all the others also commented that he was always late. That is not professional.

Dr. Huck is great. Helped relax my anxiety and fears about the problem I had. Gave me expectations of what to do over the next 90 days, and what the options are depending on how my condition changes.

Dr. Huck is a great doctor and wonderful person!

Dr. Huck has always been responsive and caring about my needs. He is always patient and informative. Have been seeing him for about 35 years. Hope it's another 35!
