List of Danielle Erica Bass's Reviews
Dr. Bass works in urgent orthopedic care but she is not an orthopedic doctor. Waisted my time with her. She just popped the bad news about my knee saying wrongly that no one will do surgery but 1 doctor. She was trying to convince me to go for physical therapy and steroid shots which is in her ability to help with. When I doubt about it she just rudely left without saying good buy and not allowing me to ask questions. I asked her assistant all questions I had. She was very friendly and explained me everything.
Dr. Bass didn't try to listen about the few background information I shared with her on my injury.
Dr. Bass and her team are very friendly and likeable. I am posting this low review because I would not recommend her for foot injuries, and was overall disappointed in the lack of specific help and guidance I received from her, over the course of seeing her for a few months for a foot injury. She recommended I wear insoles to help my feet, but didn't give any specifics on what kind of insoles would be best (gave a brand, but there are so many types within brands), even after I asked for more clarity. Then, after diagnosing me with arthritis, the only thing she told me to do was to figure out how to manage the pain, to come back if it got worse. Having now seen a podiatrist, I've realized that there was much more she could have done, as the podiatrist has done more to help, without ever looking at an x ray or MRI (both of which Dr. Bass took). At the very least, she could have referred me out if this was truly out of her area of expertise.
Dr Bass is amazing!!! When I had my first appointment for post concussion syndrome (I didn't even know that existed until this happens to me) my walking had slowed, my balance was impaired, I had horrible headaches, dizziness and nausea all day. She did a full assessment and ordered an MRI to make sure my fall had done additional damage. In March, I was sure I was on the brink of losing my job because I'd be able to perform at that level again and I was depressed. Dr Bass assured me I'd recover and was upfront about how long might it take given my condition went undiagnosed for six weeks. (thank you UW MADISON). She gave me non-narcotic med for the headache which also helped the depression and recommended two therapies. Over the next 4 months she worked closely with my therapy team in Madison, WI. Making regular checkin calls. I traveled to Chicago for probably 6 appointments with her and her team. They recognized me immediately when I walked in & I treated me and all of the patients like VIPs. A special shout out to Iris who dealt with my work's HR system - I huge task. Today 8/8/19 I graduated to officially back to normal!! And I'm back at work full-time plus. THANK YOU!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
