List of Dr. Upendra C Shah Md's Reviews
When you walk into a hot pink waiting room, you already think oh boy. That’s what you will get from your trick of all trades of an office manager/wanna be nurse??!! That wasn’t a compliment! Let’s not even get started on when you walk into his office/patients room, hot mess! (Understatement) Besides the overwhelming need for an update and the less then tidy office 🤷♀️ He comes off very nolegiable but a complete dick. I can handle that, till trying to wrap my head around handling a very much livable disease, he was horrible in answering my questions. Rude doesn’t even begin to describe him as a doctor, I honestly don’t understand how he has a practice. I’ve never walked out of a doctors appointment in my life, his comments to me were beyond unprofessional it left a bad taste in my mouth of this is how the doctors of America are now? Empathy is a part of Medical world too. As a diabetic, I’m always learning and it’s hard. I don’t need a doctor to make a comment in regards to me asking about a pain in my foot; to say well you could see a podiatrist but most likely their going to cut your toes off then your leg, so better just do what I’m telling you! Whhhhhhat who says that to someone whose diabetic 👎 the list goes on. Go if your in real need I guess.
I have never written a negative review for anything ever but feel compelled to warn people about this Dr. and his staff. The office itself is filthy and disorganized. They take your blood in a dirty hoarding file/broom closet. His office manager/nurse/wife is very rude and seems constantly flustered. In the waiting room I could hear him yelling and berating her. He is a very pompous man with an extremely disappointing bedside manner. Run don’t walk away from this practice
I went to Dr. Shah after going to a hematologist who was checking for cancer told me I should seek treatment for a very noticeable goiter in the throat. Dr. Shah took me the same day. He not only diagnosed a chronic condition that I suspected I had for years but no other Dr. would confirm but helped me manage the condition. Thanks to him diagnosing me, I was also able to finally get pregnant and have a sweet baby boy. Dr. Shah takes the time to listen to you and your concerns. Always professional and courteous, and so is his office staff. I have to say that healthcare can tend to be un-empathetic, this office is the exact opposite. The treat you with kindness and dignity.
This Dr. and his office staff are horrible. I was recommended to him by my pcp and after telling her about my experience with him she assured me she would never recommend him again. They would not go over lab results with me without me scheduling another appt. Also expect to have your blood drawn in a dirty unorganized medical closet. Trying to obtain my results has been absurdly difficult. When I expressed my frustration to the office manager she told me and I QUOTE "Your opinion does not matter to me, we have enough patients without you" Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. Worst experience I have ever had with any Dr. Office ever. There is a reason they have a 2 star review!!
Dr. Upendra Shah is a Terrible Doctor (if you can even Call him that) He gave me Tradjenta for my Type 2 Diabetes which has been linked to Pancreatic Cancer. Which I now have, and their are lawyers looking to sue the maker of this drug because of this. Just Google Tradjenta and you'll see. Stay away from this man.
The wait times are very long. I've never been taken in on time. He doesn't check for records in his computer and claims to never have received them, later I find out they were in the computer all along. He makes us come in every month and just asks how we're doing and then we leave, almost seems like just to get money. I've spoken to other patients on his and they say the exact same thing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
