Great frames and better customer service!
Amazing, seamless experience! Everyone was so nice and helpful
Always the best experience. I was in and out in under 30 minutes!
Randy has been our eye doctor for years. His staff is very friendly and always professional. His selection of eyewear is always interesting. I highly recommend Eye Mechanix for all your vision needs.
Very quick appointment and easy fix. I appreciate Dr Ricketts help so much! Great service as well, all the staff. Very friendly & welcoming
I LOVE this place. This is hands down the best eye doctor I have ever been to, and I've worn glasses/contacts my entire life. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and helpful, the frame selection is incredible, and I always leave my appointments feeling like I can actually SEE. Highly, highly recommend. We will be broken hearted if we ever move because I will miss coming here so much.
They remove bad reviews. I went there to get glasses and wanted to pay out of pocket. They looked up my insurance through VSP, billed them, and did not tell me. I paid what I thought was the the total based on what they told me. I leave and hop in an Uber. I get home, check my email, and there is a PDF with the full bill. When I called them, they said they didn't tell me the full amount because they were unsure what insurance would cover. Do not trust these people. Imagine you needed your car repaired and went to a body shop and you had AllState or State Farm. Would it be ethical for them to tell you how much you pay out of pocket to fix your car (the difference) and then bill your insurance and send you the full amount in a emailed bill. Or would you expect an estimate with total costs at the body shop? That is what this provider does. They wait until you leave because they know you might cancel the transition. I had a brand new vision policy, just activated, and one pair of glasses wiped out my annual allowance. $1000 for a pair of glasses. This place is a rip off.
Dr Ricketts is very friendly and professional. He has a wonderful bedside manner, for lack of better words. And he is also easy on the eyes, which is an added bonus! 😉
Extremely personable technicians; high tech eye exams; no judgment for asking "stupid" questions. Would definitely recommend and go back. Jojo's the best!! Made it a fun experience instead of a chore! Found where I'm going to go for my annual eye exams 🙂
Randall’s office in Lincoln Park was so great. Everything felt clean, the selection of glasses was wonderful, and the staff was beyond friendly and welcoming. As for Randall, he was so professional and kind. I immediately felt at ease and felt that he was really listening to my concerns and addressing them. I left feeling validated, but also at ease because Randall took the time to talk me through everything. So thankful to have this office in my neighborhood!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
