Familydoc Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

I walked in here one hour prior to them closing. I work in a healthcare facility I understand at the end of the day everyone wants to go home. As I approached the entrance an old lady tells the younger one to check me in and very loudly the younger lady stated she was going to clock out. When inside my first question to the younger lady was if they did X-rays for any injuries related to the waist or down. Her response is “depends on your insurance” and then asked what insurance I had. I work in a healthcare facility checking in patients and I have never determined the quality or treatment of care of patients based on their insurance. To the young girl who checked me in I walked out because of your rude behavior and I hope you never walk into a facility in pain and get received with the same attitude. Came to Midwest express clinic in Hyde Park instead. Staff and doctor were friendly. Please do not come to this office !!!!

Save your time you go in there for one thing come out with something else unprofessional I would never go back there talking about there patients with others I'm getting a lawyer

My daughter who's 7 and I go to this location often for our urgent care needs. 10/11/25 I called to get the lab results from me and my daughters urgent Care visit 4 days ago. The doctor there when we took our labs said that my daughter couldn't go back to school until Monday the following week 10/13/25 to insure that her symptoms were clear. Calling today 10/11/25 finding out that my daughter tested positive for rhinovirus infection someone should have been called to help us. We both went in with the same symptoms but my lab work came back negative for when I got tested on 10/7/ 25. I'm currently experiencing all of the symptoms x10 that my daughter had when she tested positive for the rhinovirus infection and still haven't had any relief. After my call today 10 / 11/25 I was told that I could not get a Z-Pak because the z-pack is only for viruses I had to do my research and get a second opinion just to call back to be prescribed the prescription to assist me in getting better immediately versus waiting it out and letting it go away on its own like they spoke of when I called for our lab results. With that being said I also spoke with them about prescribing my daughter a cough and congestion medicine /Tussin to help get rid of her symptoms a lot faster than just waiting. I was also told that something else came up in one of my lab results I still have yet to receive a phone call from them. As the person who answered the phone ensured that I would, with me having to call back 3 or 4 different times to ensure that my prescriptions were being put in correctly I still was only prescribed the z-pack. I totally understand that this facility is a very high traffic and very busy facility I just would like for them to care for each patient individually, attentively and vigilantly without repercussions. Me and my daughter both have allergies which they did ask if my daughter was allergic to anything but they didn't ask me. Which all of the information is in our charts so that's another reason why I am not understanding why it took a second opinion and calls to get the prescribed medicine so that my symptoms can go away and I can get better immediately versus waiting. I am an asthmatic and after doing my research I found out that rhinovirus infection effects the upper respiratory as well as asthma patients. I am leaving this review filled with LOVE simply hoping that this is a eye-opener as well as pleading that each patient be handled with individual care, empathy and vigilance. Took my daughter here for pink eye, she normally goes to LaRibida's but they are closed on weekends. Sharonda the nurse (hope that was her name) and the doctor Marcus were VERY HELPFUL and KIND. I didn't actually take her in myself my boyfriend did but i was on the phone while they were attending to my daughter and they were very informative, answered all my questions and gave me all the information on how to care for her. We've never been here before today, but because of their help, kindness and professionalism i will definitely come back.

It's a great clinic but always close hours before they're supposed to. I arrived at 430 and they were already closed..

Every time that I had to take either my daughter or grandson to this facility the staff here has always given great service. I really appreciate their service and the fact that they’re located in our area.

I give this place a -0 walked in at 11:02am left at 3:20. No one came out to say they were running behind or nothing. I told them if I wanted to sit and wait all day I would have just went to er and I have good insurance. Customer service sucked. Please avoid this place.

came here with my best friend to get a check-up and we had to wait almost an hour just to even her acknowledged. she already had an appointment too. please do NOT come here, they seem to be severely understaffed and unprofessional. my friend is in the middle of trying to get her refund on her copay for a service she didn’t even get.

If you are in need of urgent care PLEASE do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I had to wait over an hour after my SCHEDULED appointment time for someone to see me, because they unprofessionally overbooked multiple patients for the same time. The actual service isn’t too long but the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. Pass 1/10
