After procrastinating on an eye exam, I decided to use a short trip back to Chicago as an excuse to finally get in to see an eye doctor. While my usual practice closed down, Franklin was able to get me in the next day and out the door with trial lenses. The doctor was great, but the best part was the non-pushy associate who assists with eye glass fittings, contact lenses ordering, etc.. While he could have tried to upsell, he worked with me on what made the most sense with my insurance plan / prescription. This did not go unnoticed. Plan on now making my annual eye exam appointment when I'm back in Chicago for visits with the fam. That is just how good the experience was, I will return from out of state!

Hannah is great with everything especially considering that this type of therapy is not easy to perform and it's not easy for the patient, either.

I recently visited **Franklin Eye Care** for an eye exam with Dr. Eric Drey and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of care I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, efficient, and genuinely attentive. Dr. Drey took the time to explain every step of the exam, answer my questions clearly, and make sure I understood my eye health and options moving forward. His expertise is obvious, but what stood out even more was his patience and the way he made the entire experience comfortable and stress‑free. The office is clean, modern, and well‑organized, and the selection of frames was great. I left feeling confident in my prescription and grateful for such a positive experience. I highly recommend Franklin Eye Care and Dr. Drey to anyone looking for thorough, thoughtful, and professional eye care.

Truly the best eye doctor experience I’ve ever had. Hannah, Michael, and Dr. Petko were welcoming, patient, efficient, and went out of their way to ensure I had a good experience. I would 100% recommend!

I had a good experience overall with this office. Everyone was very friendly, and the staff and provider explained everything clearly throughout the exam. My only disappointment was being charged an unexpected $40 for a retinal exam. I wasn’t informed beforehand that this would be an extra cost, and I only wanted a standard eye exam since I’ve never had any eye issues. At other offices I’ve always been offered dilation for free, and that wasn’t mentioned here. Otherwise, the visit was smooth and professional.

Highly recommend Dr. Drey if you have dry eyes. He is on top of current treatments and does what is needed to relieve the symptoms.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I came in as an urgent care patient. Dr. Drey did a thorough exam, explained his diagnosis and next steps, and even got me an appointment with a specialist the very same day. I’m just so grateful to have found a doctor who truly cares about his patients. A huge thank you to Dr. Drey, and to his staff, who administered some of the tests and did the legwork to get me that quick appointment. The next time I need glasses or an eye exam, I know exactly where I’m going!

Mike and the Dr were both very welcoming and kind. Dr Drey explained each action before taking it which was helpful for someone with very sensitive eyes. Would go back for sure.
