The doctor explained my condition clearly and guided me through a treatment plan that delivered real results. Thanks to Dr. Gelbmann and the caring staff, my foot pain is finally gone. Initial appointment with Dr. A was great and efficient. I show up for my follow-up appointment and wait for 20 minutes outside the clinic in freezing weather— it’s closed, no staff present, with no advance warning of the cancellation. I was the only appointment this day and the team decided it wasn’t worth giving me a head’s up. Really disappointing and unprofessional.

Short version -- I plan to keep seeing Dr. Gelbmann even after I move to New York this spring, he's that good. Dr. Gelbmann is the most extraordinary podiatrist I've ever been to. He has fixed problems I had been told were unfixable. the procedure he recommended to fix my hammer toes was a simple office procedure that didn't involve major surgery or breaking any bones. It took me a week to recover - but I think that was because at 78 it took me that long to recover from anything. It changed my office visit schedule to address calluses from evey 6 weeks to every 6 months, if that. The proceddure he used was not new, Found it with a google search about 4 or 5 pages in. It involved s very precise cutting of temdons. Just no other podiatrist that either I or my husband saw for hammer toes ever mentioned it. I'm moving to Manhattan - where there is no shortage of doctors. I love to walk. I'll be coming back to Chicago to see Dr. Gelbmann if I need podiatric care, he's that amazing.
