On July 23, 2025: Will being treated by Dr.Mathew MacCumber, MD for treatment on my RIGHT EYE that was scheduled to receive an injection of medication, the doctor injected the needle into my LEFT EYE. Although he was very apologetic concerning the mistake, claiming that in his thirty years of practice he had never made such an error before, he nevertheless did make this medically negligent mistake.

I was very impressed by Yashir at the Mediacal district ofice. She was kind and very professional. I was having some insurance issues. She patiently walked me through the process. I was about to give up and she rejected that notion. She is a jewel. Dr. Vivek was extremely helpful. Very grateful for Illinois Retina and Assoc.

I had a bit of a medical eye emergency and the staff took me in last minute on a Friday afternoon. I can’t appreciate and thank the staff and Dr. Sabherwal enough - thank you for taking your time with me and not rushing everything. Because of him we found out I may have a potential infection and he immediately went out of his way to refer me and made calls to the Rush Hospital Cornea Specialist to take me in at 5:30 on a Friday. I felt listened to and cared for here.

Excellent doctors and staff but my last couple visits have been 1-3 hours behind schedule. I just don’t have the time to sit in a waiting room most of the afternoon.

The staff is great and Dr. Cohen is the best! Been going there for some years and nothing has changed . Illinois retina Associates staff along with Dr. Cohen continue to be awesome.

Dr. Chaturvedi is probably the best doctor I have ever met; he is extremely patient, kind, and thorough when he explains the game plan for your eyes. When it comes to the procedures, he is very gentle & tries to be as quick as possible. I have seen him 4 times in the last month & he has helped me a lot. I’m never worried or scared when he works w/ me and everyone on staff is always really sweet and efficient.

Within an hour of experiencing a disturbing eye issue I was at Illinois Retina Associates for an appointment. I was thrilled they were able to squeeze me in. The office was run like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was friendly and efficient. I couldn't have been happier with the service provided. I was thoroughly examined, well taken care of and sent on my merry way breathing a sigh of relief after learning my diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Chaturvedi and team.
