List of Jane Y. Bang's Reviews
Dr. Bang has terrible bedside manner and it is true what is written about her arrogant tone and pressuring you to do unnecessary tests. I am in the medical field and educated and she makes no attempt to get to know you and create connection. Its unfortunate that she thinks its easier to tell people what to do and belittle them into doing it. No acknowledgment of the power dynamic in the room. She'd have a much better experience and higher success rate of compliance if she fostered relationships with clients like Dr. Gordon. I dont write this to tear her down, I write this to help her be held accountable and aware to get some CEU in bedside manner.
Thank you so much for all the help you gave me today. I appreciate you so much!
I moved to Grand Rapids,Mi and miss Dr. Bang. I wish now I had been more helpful with my well being with her..she got frustrated with my health issues but I usually could talk to her freely and hope she thought of me as a not too bad a patient...she's a kind person as well.
The care that Dr. Bang provides is unlike any other I have ever received. Her lack of knowledge and ability to connect with clients is beyond. I wanted a referral to see my gynecologist but was unable to get one because she wanted to make her own referrals. I knew I had a gynecological concern but I went to see her and follow the stupid procedures nonetheless. She insisted on running UNNECESSARY tests on me that I mentioned NOT WANTING. She pressured me into things that I did not want and gave me an arrogant tone when I refused. She did not swab me for a gynecological concern, and has reported she does not know what is wrong with me. Well, if I had a gynecological concern, I would refer my patient or take the proper procedural tests. She took a pregnacy test, which I refused because I know I am not pregnant as I have an implant. She checked my thyroid, SHOCKER, no problem there. I will probably be slapped with a $100 plus dollar bill for tests.
She is the worse Doctor I had been to, she is crazy and, she doesn't listen to the patient point of view.
Very unprofessional.! The wait hour is more than 2 hours. Seriously! This is why you have schedule for patients, to make sure that they are not eating for 2 hours until you see them. If you know that you need an hour or two to see one patient, than DO NOT SCHEDULE A PATIENT!!!!!!!!!!!! You do not know how to manage your time and schedule for patients!!!!
She is wonderful - always takes time to talk to you and explains your options. Thorough with her follow-up. Because she is so dedicated to spending time with patients, I often do have to wait long past my appointment time. It was annoying at first, but now I know to expect it and bring work to do. She's worth the wait!@
Not only is she thorough, but she has great a bed side manner...She makes her patients feel special by taking the time to speak with you, and not rushing to leave. THANK YOU!!!
Dr. Bang has been an excellent doctor over the years. I highly recommend her. The office staff is a little bit mixed as far as their helpfulness. However, Dr. Bang and the other doctors at this location have been excellent.
A couple of years ago I was Dr. Bang's patient. My first visit I waited an hour. I had read an article about PCOS and mostly all of the symptoms I had and I had metioned this to her and she totally blew me off. Long story short, I found another doctor and she referred me to a specialist and I did end up having PCOS. Now I am struggling with getting pregnant. I could of been dealing with this situation years ago in my late 20's not late 30's. I wish I would of went with my gut.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
