Joanne Wang's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Wang is amazing and her staff in the TO office are top notch. I went to her for carpel tunnel release due to a previously healed distal radius fracture. So, I was nervous another surgery would only make things worse. She put me at ease from the very start. She listened to my description of my symptoms (not common), she thoroughly explained her thoughts and overall approach (very professional and personal). My experience at the surgical center was nothing like my previous DRF surgery. This was first class from start to finish. Healing was without complications and went smoothly (she is thoughtful in her incision placement and suturs like a plastic surgeon). Dr. Wang’s follow-up was flawless. My wife and I would sing her praises throughout the process. I was really happy to convey that same sentiment to Dr. Wang personally on my last follow-up. If the need ever comes up again, I’m calling her office without thinking twice. You should too.

For me, Dr. Wang demonstrated a genuine care to provide the right treatment plan. She took the time to have a detailed dialogue about my circumstances and made recommendations based on my overall well-being and health. She is someone that you can trust.

I have been looking for a great orthopedic doctor for my wrist, and chose Dr. Wang as a result of her plethora of great reviews specializing in shoulder, hand, and wrist. I saw that her philosophy is patient education, etc. Unfortunately, she stepped out of the room extremely quickly, did not give me the space to ask questions, looked unbothered and unorganized. Sent me directly to physical therapy. Did not look at my X-Rays observantly. I was at another doctor earlier this year, and I wanted a second opinion. After she told me that my X-Rays look great, I was shocked because there is a clear issue that she did not notice. When I brought it up, she said , 'Great observation, yeah that is an issue'. If I hadn't brought anything up, she would not have noticed. She doesn't care. She might be good at surgery, but as a patient, I felt overlooked and not cared for in the slightest. Do not recommend, I don't understand why she is so highly rated.

Wonderful doctor, very helpful and kind, very professional. She did my surgery and helped me out the entire time. Listened to my pain and helped me work through all of it.

Visited the office for wrist plate removal. Agreed to surgery, but uncertainties arose. Requested payment BEFORE assurance that the surgery can be completed even. Once i refused to pay for this nonsense, the complete lack of communication began. Terrible service and totally not honest. Consider a different doctor for better customer service.

What stood out most with my experience with Dr. Wang, as her new patient, was her wonderful ability to carefully listen patiently to my medical type questions and concerns, and then took doctor - patient time by responding to each and every one of them, in a layman's language that I can understand. I was also genuinely moved in how Dr. Wang patiently presented all of my medical treatment options, post follow ups and post surgery therapy needed, all in well organized step by step procedures. Based on my humble experience, I am very fortunate to find such a caring, skillful and genuinely professional doctor!!!

Dr. Wang gave me options to relieve inflammation to the affected area. She also gave me the choice to remove the hardware in the very near future, but explained that the tendon muscle would need to be operated on as a,way to remove the plates and pins. I appreciate being told explicitly what will be involved before making my decision to proceed!

When I walked in the front door I knew was the place for me. They have a rehab program right in the building., It’s huge. Also every test you can think of. MRI, CT, X-rays, Fluoroscopy, the works. Staff was Excellent. They were perfectly alined. I was in and out in 35 minutes. I highly recommend VENTURA orthopedics anyone that has the issues that they cover. Dr. Wang was phenomenal told me everything explained everything and I had an explanation at that time no waiting or going through other motions. It was all perfectly an alignment with all the testing I had before and all the new test I’m gonna have so I’m very happy.

Ventura Orthopedics is a top-notch, all-inclusive facility with a well-organized and highly efficient staff. Everyone was polite, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. This was my first time meeting Dr. Wang and she was also polite, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. She suggested solutions to solving my trigger-thumb problem and prioritized her choices. I went with her first choice which was an injection and she totally calmed my fears and proceeded to make good on her promise that it wasn’t anywhere near as painful as I was expecting it to be. I’m glad I listened to her, she was right! I found my hand-specialist in Dr. Wang!
