List of Kevin E. Hunt, Md's Reviews
Dr. Hunt has been our internist for years. He is kind, thoughtful and thorough, respected, and with stellar much medical expertise and knowledge. When my husband and I have need specialists, he's Always nailed it with an accurate 'why' and has gotten us in to the best. Couldn't recommend him more!
excellent doctor. pays attention to my needs. caring and checks in on his patients at home as well in his office. kind and gentle
An outstanding physician.
I have been under the care of Dr. Hunt for 20 years. He is the most compassionate, professional and knowledgeable doctor that I ever meet.
Dr. Hunt was my primary care doctor for about 4 years and during that time, he was extremely kind, compassionate, caring, and thorough. He called me with my lab results and made a point to write my partner's name on my chart and asked me about her during our follow up visits which was extremely kind and unprecedented. I've referred many people to him over the years. I've since moved and miss this level of care. Sadly, there are few doctors who take the time he does anymore and who give visits a personal touch.
Dr. Kevin Hunt is an EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICIAN. Despite a very busy office, Dr. Hunt finds the time to be thorough and cares about each individual patient. He's bright, kind, has a refreshing sense of humor and personally calls each patient with test results (a rarity). In our fast paced world of "express medicine", this award winning Professor at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine remains humble. In his spare time, he quietly helps underserved patients in Uganda. Simply put, Dr. Hunt is the BEST. Beverly F
I'm quite surprised at the unanimous five-star reviews here, and I feel compelled to write a counterpoint describing my experiences over the past six months with Dr. Hunt that have led to me ultimately choosing to move on to another doctor. Things got off to a bad start with my first visit, when I was made to wait over an hour past the initial appointment time. I've since never been seen on time; the best the office has managed is 20 minutes past my scheduled time. Further frustrating is their explanation that they're running behind - which means they could have made a quick phone call to let me know that I didn't need to head over yet. I understand that I'm seeing a busy doctor in the middle of the loop, but no attempts have been made to respect my own time when the practice is already aware that they're running grossly behind schedule. I find Doctor Hunt nice enough - he's friendly. Unfortunately, he has also never not seemed generally distracted and somewhat flighty. On multiple occasions, he's asked me redundant questions in the same appointment and in doing so revealed that he wasn't paying attention the answers I was actually giving or the contextual information about my lifestyle or symptoms. This is frustrating and always makes me feel like he's not quite "getting" my issue or actually listening to what I'm telling him. I'm a great patient - I come loaded with useful information and am deferential to the doctor - but I feel like this guy just doesn't actually do a great job of listening. Further, the Doctor seems daunted by the office's EPIC system. He types with two fingers, hunting and pecking, and often does things like accidentally closing windows. This absentminded behavior seemed cute and funny at first, but it resulted in incorrect information about me being input into the system. Upon returning for a later visit, it turned out that he had entered me into the system as a smoker (I have never smoked in my entire life) and there were several other mixed up things like that in my profile. Who knows how these were actually impacting the treatment that I received or allowing the Doctor to work on false information about me? What other fields may have been jumbled? I'm not in a position to audit their system, and I shouldn't have to. Ultimately, I've found the Doctor to be unmotivated in helping me figure out some longer-term, ongoing and frustrating health issues. It's not that he's dismissive, he just seems absentminded and overly distracted and busy every time I visit. After all of the most basic tests and examinations don't point to an immediate and obvious answer, he seems to just sort of throw in the towel and shrug instead of bearing down to partner with the patient and specialists in finding an answer. That's simply not good enough for me, esp. in light of the other issues. One additional note: the phlebotomist working in this office is the single most talented blood drawer I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It's really unreal how good she is, like she's doing a magic trick and removing your blood without even breaking your skin. She is a treasure and I wish I could use her whenever I need blood drawn, wherever I go.
There is no doctor like Kevin Hunt. His caring and humor and intelligence are exceptional. He is always there for his patients. I highly recommend him. He is a one in a million doctor.
It's simple. Dr Hunt is best in class. He is kind, humble, caring, thorough, and healing. Five stars on staff, as well.
Dr Hunt is the best there is. He sets the standard for patient care. He is knowledgeable and compassionate which is hard to find these days in the medical profession. He must be under pressure to move patients in and out like all doctors but you would never know it from the attention he gives and the concern he has for each patient. I consider him my friend as well as my doctor which is amazing since I see him only a couple times each year at most. By the way, the other physicians in the office are wonderful also as I have needed their help when Dr Hunt has been unavailable. It must be a great place to work. If all doctors were as good as Dr Hunt and his colleagues and staff all our medical and health care problems would be solved.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
