List of Marianne O'donoghue Md's Reviews
I have been a patient of Dr. O'Donoghue's for over 30 years. She's professional, patient, answers all my questions, and actually has a great sense of humor. Sometimes the wait times are ridiculously long, but I've learned to live with that.
I have been a patient of hers for over 25 years. She is excellent and I highly recommend her.
Dr. O'Donoghue diagnosed my chicken pox by looking at me when I was 21 years old! It was confirmed after a biopsy. She was my mom's MD too. This was a long while ago before computers were even around for me to write a review, but it still was my experience.I had to change to another MD in her Oak Brook practice when she no longer took my insurance. That same MD diagnosed beginning cancer on my mom's face.
If you want to be condescended to and feel unheard, this is the doctor for you. I went in to talk about some facial moles and she wouldn't listen to me and acted as if every question was a challenge to her authority and a nuisance. She offered to remove a freckle right then and said it would "lift right off" so I thought, oh, ok. That sounds easy. AFTER she does it, she hands me a piece of paper that says the lesion on my face would stay on for 7-10 days with a possible blood blister. I was irate. I was due to speak in front of a group of people in 3 days and the last thing I needed was a lesion scab on my face. Unbelievable. The freckle wasn't even completely removed anyway. It's still there. The worst communication from a doctor I have ever received.
this dr is so rude. terrible manners, rushed my daughter out, and didn't answer her questions, I'm surprised she was so snippy, very unprofessional....time to retire if you don't like your new patients.
Marianne treated my basal cell skin cancer for over 2 years with eczema cream. My allergist noticed it & told me I needed to have a biopsy. I attempted multiple times &'was told she was too busy! Finally the biopsied results showed an advanced basal cell cancer which was treated after surgery by an RN for 6 months. I saw this dermatologist for over 20 years & trusted her thoroughly. However I had only cosmetic work done...so if that is all you want she can do it. I found she was only interested in rushing patients in & out. Now years after her missed diagnosis I M left with a shark bite type scar & tenderness that will probably be permanent.
I have been a patient of Dr. O'Donoghue's for over 15 years and have been seen by her five times. She is professional and a brilliant diagnostician. Her tendency is to be perfunctory but will indulge you with as much time as you require to have all your medical conditions explained and your questions answered. I have referred family and friends to her; all were completely satisfied and have remained loyal patients of hers.
outstanding.
Horrible, should not be a doctor!! Came in for question about growth on arm told was a wart. She them began spraying the wart with nitrious without warning.. Scribbled what to do next on small piece of paper, could not read what she wrote. Was annoyed i couldnt read it.. Now I have huge gaping infected hole on my arm and wart is still there... Beware
Super unprofessional. I waited forever for my appointment with her, and she barely gave me 5 minutes of her time. I got in to room. She came in, asked what's wrong, looked at my itching mole, said that it was nothing, and that was it. No questions of how long has it berm itching, let me check for others, nothing. Very rude, uncaring, unprofessional. Would not recommend her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
