On my second visit to Dr Menendez we went over a treatment plan and I liked what he had to say.I know that I am in good hands and I don’t really know him but I do trust him which is really huge with me.

My son was seen due to a broken Clavicle. He did absolutely amazing with him and was very informative on what I should be doing. Very pleasant to speak with and you can tell he’s there for his patients and it was not a hurry up and get out type of feeling. It was MUCH appreciated! You don’t see that very often anymore!

Dr.Menendez is encouraging and caring. He gave an honest evaluation about what I could expect about my recovery. He is so engaging and gives you his time and attention for questions. I would recommend him to anyone requiring surgery.

Interesting conversations on difficulties of a broken arm and shoulder problems in the elderly

Absolutely fantastic Dr Menendez! He was so compassionate to my situation. You see, my left shoulder had been operated on 8 times (total shoulder replacement that ended up being a total reversal arthroplasty). And during those 8 surgeries, I had three implants put in and three taken out due to infection, I won't get to descriptive, as there is a lot to unpack over almost 2 years of my life, waiting for the next surgery. So much pain and so many tears, I felt many times I wanted eat a bullet. My wife, the light of my life was by my side every single day and stayed with me in the hospital. My surgeon in my town bailed on me and many other patients, not to mention all the infections and problems that happen in our little hospital and orthopedic clinic. I spent 3.5 months without a prosthetic in my humerus, a bone graph (due to the infections eating my glenoid cavity[socket] away) The orthopedic clinic that I was seeing, had to refer me to SoOr. Orthopedic Oregon Shoulder Institute Because they didn't have a shoulder guy in my town anymore. I am currently doing my best to ease off the narcotics and it is slow going, but am winning!! I was taking 120mg a day of OXY not mention all the morphine and Dilaudid( while in hospital many visits to the ER and being admitted for pain control. From day 1! He was there for me and hit the ground running. His compassion and empathy, not to mention the confidence I felt from him was overwhelming . Then, a fungus infection took over and I was facing another surgery where they would take out all the implants and start all over. Mariano wouldn't have it! He was determined to fight this fungal infection with the help of infectious diseases and we got the infection under control. He was not going to leave any stone unturned to keep my shoulder together. He actually cried with us because he is a gift from God!! The story is way more in depth than I wanted to go into because that's a lot of typing lol. This is the man that you want working on you! I have never met a doctor like him! And you won't either! We love this man and God placed him here for a reason. He has the gift of healing that could only come from God, and his unyielding desire to heal the sick. Not to mention he is a new father! Very personable and professional. Excellent diagnosis and rotator cuff repair.I’ve seen many orthopedic surgeons and he is one of my favorites.Just very good!
