Holy cow where do I start?! My teeth as a kid/teen were pretty bad and I really needed braces. I used to see Dr. Runge and his assistant Maria back when they were at Loyola, then we [my parents and I] followed them to their brand new Western Springs location to continue my treatment. It was pretty cool to see him go off to his own practice and I won’t lie, their fish tank in the waiting area had the cutest puffer fish ever! This was the only Dr. I had ever been comfortable with as a kid and Maria was also the sweetest to my family and I. I got to pick out the color of the bands I’d have on my braces and I remember getting my retainer by the end of my treatment and feeling kind of sad that I wouldn’t be there as much. I myself am now a dental assistant and was able to remember just how much of a positive impact one person or place can have on a person at a place that might seem scary at first. If you’re looking for someone: with a great team, someone who actually tells you what he is doing things to your teeth and why, and most of all having the utmost attention to detail and care for the little one in the seat; then Dr. Runge is your man! Thank you so much for helping me with my teeth Dr. Runge and Maria, I hope you are doing well! -Katheryn-

Dr. Runge is an excellent orthodontist. My children have seen him for two phases of braces with great service by him and his staff.
