Dr. Colman is an excellent surgeon who clearly explains medical conditions, procedures and outcomes. The results I had were life changing. I highly recommend him and the team at Rush.

Doctor Colman performed corrective surgery on my right femur around a year after I was hit by a car (around 2016-2017). The initial surgery left part of the rod sticking out causing a build up of scar tissue and chronic pain. He was able to fix the issue and save me from chronic pain for the rest of my life. I'm forever grateful to him and his team, thank you.

I was diagnosed with multiple injuries with one possibly being nerve impingement in the neck and arm. After being referred & seen by Dr. Colman, my diagnosis was confirmed. He went over the many treatment options and those he did not recommend & the reasons why. His demeanor easily placed me at ease and confident I was in good hands. When unexpected delays in progress arose, he maintained his same position and assured me it was a temporary setback , which was true.Would easily seek his services again, but hope I don't need them.

I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my neck and referred to Dr Matthew Coleman, Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. He has a pleasant, professional, quiet demeanor. He scheduled me for an MRI to confirm my diagnoses. Once confirmed, he scheduled me for a minor surgery to correct the issue. Dr. Coleman explained the details of the surgery, placing any anxiety I had at rest. I would highly recommend Dr. Coleman for any spine or musculoskeletal issues you may have.

This doctor did an independent medical exam for a workman's compensation insurance company. I met him for 10 minutes. He had about a 2" file of medical records in which I never approved so this is a HIPPA violation. This doctor stated I reached MMI maximum Medical Improvement which in fact he took xrays of my chest which still showed rib contusions and your not allowed to twist turn bend nor lift anything heavy. My job you are required to do such. I injured my back but this dr stated I already had this back issue. He looked at the CT scan and MRI disc's. He seen the bulged disc. He had nothing to back up his determination of what my BACK LOOKED LIKE BEFORE THE INJURY!!!!!! He just made up some BS. I fell on a moving conveyor belt. My back issue is now a bulged disc pressing into the muscle and causing muscle spasms. I'm now with a Neuropain dr giving me backm pain shots. This dr was highly paid by WC ins to lie and send me back to work and not be productive as I was when I began the job. Now I'm wondering if this dr will take $$$ to lie. What do you think he would do to you by stating oh you need this surgery when in fact you may not need it at all because he's looking at insurance money paid to him to do an unnecessary procedure on you and NOT YOUR WELL BEING. Dr. Coleman shouldn't be a doctor seeing he's violating the oath he took as becoming a doctor to help the people with spine problems. Because of Dr. Coleman's lies I lost my workman's compensation medical benefits. I lost my weekly paycheck. I'm being taken care of by my doctor and as of 8/30/2020 I lost my work healthcare benefits. ALL DUE TO THIS LYING DOCTOR!!!!!! BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR. IF HE IS YOUR DR I'D FIND ANOTHER ONE ASAP. HE CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR HEALTH!!!!!!

I’ve seen Dr.Coleman many times for/with my mom. He is patient, caring and always listens to his patient. This time I saw him for my back. I got exactly what I expected. I’d finished PT and was in for a follow up. I was doing well and he still spent time to listen. I highly recommend Dr.Coleman, highly!

Dr Colman is fantastic! He is not only a great Dr., but he actually takes time with his patients and is incredibly caring. One of the best! I recommend him to anyone with back issues!

He took the time to listen and explain everything I asked. He was knowledgeable and made me feel confident that what he suggested as treatment would finally help me. He never seemed like he was in a hurry and answered all my questions. He is the third orthopedic doctor that I have seen but the best one and the kindest one.
