I was very disappointed with my experience at this office. I waited nearly 50 minutes past my appointment time for a simple consultation. When I asked why the delay, I was given no explanation. The person who conducted the consult, (Neda Ashourian), was extremely rude & rushed. When I politely asked if she could share photos of her previous work so I could better understand what to expect, she became defensive and abruptly walked out. I left feeling completely disrespected and without any helpful information about the procedure. I came to this place because they specialize in the procedure I need but feel it would be a mistake to proceed with Neda. The front desk staff was very nice & helpful.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lapiere for over four years, during which he diagnosed and treated three of my skin cancers. He is hands down the most considerate, patient, and attentive doctor I’ve ever met. He listens carefully, answers every question with kindness, and always brings a great sense of humor that makes even stressful visits easier. Each of my Mohs procedures was handled with incredible skill, precise, gentle, and with such a light touch, always mindful of the final aesthetic outcome. His staff is just as wonderful: warm, caring, and they always remember me from visit to visit. I’ve never felt compelled to write a review for a doctor before, but Dr. Lapiere is truly exceptional. I feel fortunate to be under his care.

Dr. Ashurian is the best doctor that my husband and I have ever had! She is amazingly competent, knowledgeable as well as kind and supportive. She is always so calm and reassuring when a biopsy delivers unwelcome news and she is an excellent surgeon. Dr. Ashurian has had to remove several cancer spots, and it is impossible to find the scar for any of these. Her staff is also excellent and highly competent and kind. We drive in from the western suburbs, which means that we need to use the Eisenhower Expressway, which is more usually the Eisenhower Parking lot. The staff always understands if we are late and yet, at the same time, we benefit from never, ever having to wait too long to see the doctor. If only our other medical providers were as great.

I could not be more pleased with everyone at Northwestern Skin Cancer Institute. Dr. Neda Ashourian took the time to explain the procedure which was exactly what I experienced and all the others in the office were very helpful. Also, the communication was superb.
