My husband was here after a motorcycle accident that caused him To loose both his legs. The entire staff was very caring and supportive, but oh my goodness what can I say about Francis, the physical theapist, this guy was so caring, helped teach my husband how to use a wheel chair and gave my husband his first outdoor run after 4 months at Cook County and 60 @ RML., we will never forget Francis, I don't know his last name but I hope he see this and knows it us, and him I am talking about. Your a blessing Francis keep up the great work, please know you are so appreciated. Willie & Milly Reynolds
For the most part, RML took great care of my family member. The nursing and rehab staff are fantastic. Most of the staff I dealt with were flawlessly professional, friendly, and helpful. The nursing, rehab, and housekeeping staff were absolutely wonderful. Administration and billing, not so much. They didn't return phone calls in a timely manner (or at all) and didn't seem to understand much about how to do their jobs. How can billers know so little about how medicare and medicaid work? The most important thing is that my family member made great strides in recovering from a devastating health crisis while at RML. I could tell that the nursing and rehab staff were doing a great job by how much my family member improved while they were there. When they first got to RML they couldn't move their right side and could barely speak, but by the time they left they were speaking much more clearly, able to remember many more words, and able to move and lift their right arm and leg. The rehab staff even had them up and walking a few steps. May not sound like much, but it was a huge thing for us!RML could definitely do better when it comes to the food. I totally understand that there is only so much you can do with a pureed diet, but one little scoop of meat/fish and one little scoop of mashed potatoes for lunch and dinner day in and day out for weeks is really not okay. Vegetables are a thing, check them out. Several times I noticed on the "receipt" that came with the meal that vegetables were supposed to be on the plate but they were not there. What's up with that?My family member missed what I understand was an important post-op appointment while at RML, and it seemed as though the appointment was missed due to some sort of miscommunication. This was disappointing, especially as no one planned to visit them that day assuming they would be gone most of the day. We kept calling to see if they had returned from their appointment so maybe we could drop by and see them, but were not given the correct info so they did not get any visits from family that day. (A very big deal to all of us!) In fact, we did not find out until the next day that they had missed their appointment. The sad and extremely frustrating part of this (and part of why I gave only 2 stars) is that the rehab facility RML transferred my family member to is AWFUL. They have lost much of the function they gained while at RML. They have fallen and wound up back in the hospital. RML also transferred my family member before they were really ready to be transferred because they were afraid they wouldn't get paid (they would, and they would know that if their billers knew anything at all about medicare.) So maybe don't transfer your patients to 3rd rate nursing homes or before they are ready for a lower level of care, but instead LISTEN TO THE FAMILY and ADVOCATE FOR YOUR PATIENTS (you can do that, trust me) and get them in some place where they are going to continue to recover and thrive instead of just dumping them in the first place willing to take them. So, while the actual hands-on nursing, rehab, and even housekeeping staff are on point and absolutely FANTASTIC at what they do, the kitchen and administrative folks need A LOT of work.
RECIEVED AN EMAIL ABOUT COMMENTING ON TWITTER OR FACE BOOK I'M NOT ON EITHER :(. I WILL SAY AGAIN DR. RAMANI (AND STAFF) ARE THE BEST !! I MISS THEM BUT NOT MY WOUNDS. HAD 2 OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS AFTER SURGERIES. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS!! IF SOMETING DOESN'T WORK HE WILL TRY AND TRY I WAS A BIG PROBLEM !! THE MOST CARING, PERSONABLE, BEST BEDSIDE MANNER AND HUMOR !! THE BEST !!!
Don't come to this hospital, the staff are negligent and they will kill your loved ones and falsify paperwork. As a employee who has witnessed this, please if you care anything about your relatives do not send them here. Mt. Sinai would be a better option than this
Hi, I never heard of clergy coming for prayer for gravely ill patient counting as a visitor. My mother is loved and she was a devoted catholic. The priest from her catholic church should not be counted as a visitor for the 2 person policy. She has recently gotten sicker and I her daughter and granddaughter would like to be present when my mom gets a 5min prayer and anointed with oils from her priest.I was so happy to get the miscommunication resolved. RML really helped resolve the issue quickly and I am so grateful. My mother's religion is very important to her and her family. Thank you kindly for your rapid response and everyone's compassionate behavior. Truly blessed
Everything was awesome
I partook in my visit and the whole staff was absolutely marvelous, particularly the PT's and Pct's. They kept me propelled to improve along these lines, I love that.I'd generally suggest RML-Chicago
Their plan is to hook incoming patients up to feeding tubes and respirators to minimize the work they have to do . This is a place where people are sent to DIE. DO NOT send loved ones here
My father was in RML for 1 month 1/2. The service was okay. The only problem was that when he called for a change they use to not answer right away or even tell him they where on there way but didn’t show up for 1 hour. Lucky we use to FaceTime all the time and I had to call to tell the front desk to call his pcp to go. But it was a okay service besides that.
My sister is there for respiration pulmonary treatment, but the nurses are very unprofessional because when my sister needs help no one go and check on her. And when we ask for the manager never answer the phone they just say leave a message and they go in to return the call.and they never call you back, we are thinking to move my sister where she can get better treatment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
