Dr. Perlmuter is an excellent doctor and his doctor’s intuition is spot on. He saved my life years ago. In 2008 my test result from a specialist (a different doctor) came back “benign.” I was relieved I didn’t have to go back for further testing. But Dr. Perlmuter, who was my primary care doctor, was not convinced that the information I received was accurate. He or his nurse called me every month for almost a year, urging me to make another appointment for further testing. When I finally went in for further testing, it turned out what I had was actually malignant. Dr. Perlmuter’s persistence in calling me and convincing me to get further testing is what saved my life. He genuinely cares about his patients!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Perlmutter. I have been seeing him for a few years now and have had the same thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind professionalism from day one to the present. He is a very good example of what a medical professional should exemplify.

I have been a patient of Dr Perlmuter's for over 20 years. I am so happy I have found him. He is such an excellent caregiver has provided me with advice that I count on. His office staff is wonderful and I have always been pleased how I am able to be seen when I have issues. I have never had to wait an extended amount of time for him and I have noticed he always has a ton of patients. Fortunately, I am pretty healthy but I did have an issue with an infection and saw him on a Friday and he asked that I call him and let him know how I was feeling on Saturday to make sure the medication he prescribed was working for me. I have never had a doctor be so concerned for me. He's a keeper!

I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Perlmuter when I first moved to Chicago. He is courteous, extremely knowledgable, and most importantly he treats his patients with respect. He and his office are easily accessible, and he is a doctor who listens to his patients. He is in my opinion the best doctor in Chicago!!
