Front desk individual is extremely unprofessional. I'm not looking for "gotcha" coaching moments from my eye dr front desk. Yes, I didn't do the intake form (I've been a pt for 7 years). No I didn't answer your calls during the day to confirm insurance because I work and have meetings. The mention that I was late 5m after arriving to jab that I won't be seen until much later (made it apparent she wasn't sure when) and act like you're teaching me a lesson is hilarious. Again pt for 7 years gone. Cheers. Edit. After seeing other recent reviews. All makes sense now.
The staff at the Michigan Avenue location is AMAZING!!! Everyone was so kind and welcoming, especially Roy!
I am deeply disappointed by my experience with Kate, the assistant manager at Rosin Eye Care on Michigan Avenue and a few staff members. Over the course of multiple phone calls regarding the status of my Rayban Meta glasses and obtaining insurance for them, I encountered a consistent lack of clear communication, professionalism, and courtesy. Each inquiry was met with noticeable frustration and dismissiveness, rather than the patience and clarity one would expect from someone in a leadership role within a healthcare setting. As a patient simply seeking updates on an order, I should not have felt as though my questions were an inconvenience. The tone and manner of communication came across as unnecessarily curt and, frankly, a microaggression that made the interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional. Customer service, especially in a medical and optical environment, requires empathy, respect, and clear communication. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of those standards. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training to ensure all patients are treated with professionalism, respect, and care, regardless of how routine their inquiry may be. - DR. I had broken my prescription Ray Ban sunglasses and went in and was seated with the manager. She was professional and great to work with. She ordered the new frame, since they didn't have my particular one in stock, and said they would be in within 5 to 7 business days, however they arrived on the 3rd business day. I got the phone call that they were in and walked over there and they took out my lenses and put them into the new frame. The whole experience was quick and painless. I will definitely be back.
I called to request a document, and my experience was very disappointing. The first man I spoke to told me he would send the document via email and asked me to wait. I waited for quite a while, but the call was disconnected. He may have intentionally hung up. When I called again, a woman answered. She spoke for a long time without listening to my question. When I finally had a chance to ask, she said that she was the only person at the desk and a patient had just arrived, so she would either call me back or I should call again in 5 minutes—and then she hung up abruptly. If she really intended to call me back, shouldn't she at least have asked for my phone number? The whole interaction felt careless and unprofessional.
While traveling, I had an unexpected issue that needed urgent attention. I chose Rosin because they were open early and conveniently located near my hotel. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly, listened carefully to my situation, and acted quickly to provide the care I needed. Their professionalism and kindness helped me get back on track and continue my trip without further stress. I’m truly grateful for their prompt service and genuine concern, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rosin to anyone in need of fast, reliable help. Thank you!
I went to this location it was recommended by someone I know. I paid $500. Just for the lens. Paid for no scratch and full package on my lens. Waiting for over a month. I had to keep calling for updates. I just made one week having them. And sure I got a scratch already I on them. Can't believe after all that. I call and they tell me I need to bring them back. One I can not see without my glasses my lens has a lot of special needs. Suffer from migraine headaches and due to a tumor in my brain I get many severe headaches. I'm so upset. I had to pay out of pocket my insurance doesn't cover them. I'm on SSI and Medicare. I wish I can get help from someone.
Terrible customer service - called to reorder my contacts and they sent me the wrong brand and prescription. I dropped the boxes off to be exchanged for the correct contacts, was told I’d be called once the order was placed and never heard back.. When I called to follow up, the staff was very rude and said I’d have to wait another week for the order to be put in due to an internal process (no sense of urgency in correcting their mistake) .. all the while, I don’t have contacts - after having putting the order in three weeks ago. Had I known that this was going to be so inconvenient, I would’ve just bought from an online retailer like Contact Lens King. I thought my optometrist’s office would be the most convenient option. I’ve been a Rosin customer since 1996 and may now consider going elsewhere - or at least to another location that is more organized and helpful.
The worst, unresponsive staff I have ever dealt with. They play games with patient care and do not take requests seriously. I would recommend anywhere else but here.
The eye exam was great and had terrific help picking out new frames. My experience went down hill after the first day. I was told my glasses would be ready in 2-2 1/2 weeks. I called to check on my glasses after two weeks and was told I should have been told up to 4 weeks for delivery. I called back after 4 weeks and was told that lots of people were ordering glasses because it was the end of the year. I then received a text saying my glasses were delayed and to call for more info. I called and was told that the frames were on back order. It took 4 weeks to tell me the frames weren't in. Still no completion date. When I called the next week, they told me they would be in the next Monday. When I called the next Monday, they told me they would be ready the next week. They finally came in after nearly 8 weeks. I complained when I picked them up about the delay and was told that lots of people had worse delays. I asked that someone in charge please call me to explain the circumstances of all the delays. No one has called me 36 hours later. Customer service and follow through is seriously lacking.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
