I've been seeing Dr. Carter for 10+ years. When he moved into the city, I tried another dermatologist - all they wanted to do was scrape and burn things off me. Dr. Carter takes a very different approach - "don't touch it unless it is bad or bothers you". As such, I make the 45 minute drive to see him now and it is totally worth it. Did I mention he is incredibly nice as well?

Ive dealt with some issues my whole life and never felt comfortable talking about it because I was embarrassed. Dr. Carter helped me feel comfortable enough to talk about it and get treatment. He is one of the most personable and knowledgeable doctors I’ve ever gone to. He takes the time to explain everything to me and above all else he lets me choose the treatment I want instead of pushing me in one direction. Thanks Carter, you truly are wonderful!

He called me personally after leaving a bad reveiw saying he would no longer be able to help me or be my dermatologist due to leaving him a bad review. This is scary , as it seems to violate my 1st amendment rights . He has a right to deny service but this just seemed a little off putting from a doctor in the united states. He did though infact help me out will refills before termination of are relationship, and that shows he does have empathy for patients and a certain level of respect.

Underwrites my prescriptions, claiming doesn't want to over prescribe steroids which is understandable, but also writes only 1 or 2 refills for calcipotriene. I have psoriasis which they claim to be a lifelong condition. Takes days to get back to me anytime I need a refill and sometimes wants me to come in again. Has zero answers or suggestions on my condition other then take biologic treatments.

Very dissatisfied with this establishment. I literally spent $175 (as a new patient) for a 3 minute visit with a "specialist" to tell me I need to see a surgeon. I got a FREE consultation from another specialist 2 days before coming here. Since the first one said he doesn't handle my situation, he didn't charge me and actually ultra scanned my leg (I thought I had a blood clot but turned out to be a pocket of liquid build up in my leg). This guy just squeezed my cyst and said I need a surgeon. $175 for that !!! I could've just gone to a hospital. Even if he said just pay $50 I wouldn't argue, but $175? I could only leave a review by giving 1 star otherwise, I would give 0 stars and a thumbs down. And I paid out of pocket. FYI...If you have a problem, just go to the hospital. 🤬

I have been seeing Dr. Carter for 3+ years now and recommend him and the office staff highly! I've had several minor skin issues that he took care of same day with excellent cosmetic results. He runs on time and the office staff is always very pleasant. I am a physician myself and would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Carter to anyone!

Recently had a visit with Dr. Carter and was beyond pleased with every aspect. Great bedside manner, extremely thorough and made me feel comfortable for a visit I was nervous about. Highly recommend!

I’ve been seeing Doctor Carter for over 10 years. He used to be about 5 minutes from my home but is now almost 40 minutes. I recently took my mother to see him after she went to another doctor. She was beyond happy with Doctor Carter! We will make the further drive every time. I look forward to seeing him in the future
