Went to him for cataract surgery ,I wasn’t Positive with his bed side manners ! Very little about the surgery itself !! Gave me exams gave me dates !! I made decision I wanted mono vision , one eye distance my right eye left for reading ! Agreeable to do this ! Wore contacts like this 40 years !!! Did the surgery on Aug 26th !! Six weeks later I have had blurred vision the entire 6 weeks !! Out of concern called for a follow apt 3 weeks later saw him !! Checked my eyes never telling me it was doing great no explanation nothing !! Stressed me beyond any Dr. See you in 6 weeks insulted me to get more rest before next visit , I’m a flt attd fly New Delhi India !! Strange after weeks no response to my concerns , at night was almost blind driving!! New something was wrong he never answered my concerns !!! Sent me to a eye dr for glasses or contacts???? After this surgery !!! I found my answer I would Never go back to this Dr. he’s not honest!! Put me through Hell!! NM was my Hospital !!!!

It is disgraceful that it took me 81 year old husband an hour and a half to be seen by Dr. Basti this afternoon! What kind of thought process goes into scheduling so many patients that they end up sitting in a waiting in the middle of a pandemic! Shame on you!

Dr. Basti is an excellent eye doctor. Cataract, Cornea and Refractive are his specialties. He is very thorough with his exams. He takes time with his exams and answers all your questions. Please allow time for your visit because he may request that you have other tests during your visit.

Dr. Basti was highly recommended to me by 2 former patients. He did cataract surgery on my eyes. He was very thorough, explained everything, listened and answered all of my questions, and gave me a few choices and recommendations. I am very happy with the results.

Dr. Basti is an expert in correcting cataract problems. He perfectly corrected the wrong lens put in by another opthamologist, who referred me to Dr. Basti for a second opinion. I enjoyed being treated by Dr. Basti and consider myself very fortunate in being treated by this extraordinary and extremely likeable doctor. Joan S

My son was diagnosed with an eye condition leading to blindness. He also has autism. Dr. Basti barely spent 10 minutes with us, said there was nothing that could be done and that we should go home. He did not tell us there was a preventive treatment available in Canada or in clinical trials in the US. We went to Canada, go the procedure done, and were encouraged to get s second opinion because they had misgivings about Dr. Basti's recommendations. If you have a disabling condition, that is not visual, don't waste your time on this guy.
