List of Susan Bard's Reviews
Dr. Bard is terrific. She is highly professional, courteous and prompt. I was a little nervous since I hadn't been checked in a long time. Both she and the office made me comfortable and generously shared knowledge and answered questions.
When looking for a new dermatologist, a friend of mine highly recommended Dr Susan Bard so I went to Dr Bard for full body annual mole check. Dr. Bard was excellent. She was very thorough in checking and even did a very good job at checking my scalp under my long hair. Dr Bard was very open and honest in our conversation. She asked if I had any concerns and she immediately answered my questions with thoughtful responses. I could tell by her answers, that she is highly intelligent and is very experienced. Excellent bedside manner! I felt very comfortable in her office and having a conversation with her. She took a genuine interest in my health. The office was pleasant. The receptionist was super friendly and a pleasure to check in with. I could tell she was genuine in welcoming me and making me feel comfortable in the office. Even though I was there for a medical check up, there was information displayed in the office about aesthetic and cosmetic skin procedures so that was interesting in a good way….. a thought for another visit.I highly recommend Dr. Susan Bard. I will definitely be going back to her and using her as my dermatologist.
Dr. Susan Bard is the most wonderful Doctor imaginable. I love her immensely.
I was treated by Dr. Susan Bard around 6 months ago. First impression she was practical and professional. Since I am not very familiar with insurance regarding cosmetic and non cosmetic procedures, I asked her a clarification regarding the type of procedure I was suppose to do (because I had cosmetically surgeries that were classified non cosmetically for medical reason) and in response she got very defensive which I had no idea why and kept talking about her student loans and she won't jeopardize her license because of me. I asked for costs of procedure and was told around $250 for Fraxel procedure. I then go for the Fraxel procedure on a small area of the face and she tells me then in-person that the cost is $1100 after I was already moved to the procedure room. This was very embarrassing, so I did procedure. I asked for ~$20 insurance re-imbursement (which, was owed) and she tells reception to take off the cost of the procedure, but price remained the same. I had a bad gut feeling, so I asked 5 other dermatologists for cost of procedure (including one at the SAME OFFICE and was quoted $300). She took advantage of me on-site with significant increase of original quoted price. I recommend people to avoid this provider. My NEW follow up Medical Doctor also spends much more time in preparation for their Fracel procedure, follow up, and continuity of care for only ~300$ per appointment for Fraxel procedure compared to Dr. Bard.
I had a very good experience with Dr. Bard. I didn't wait long. The treatment was quickly and accurately delivered, and everyone that I interacted with at Manhattan Specialty Care was friendly and helpful.
It really shows that Dr Bard cares for the patient first. She’ll go an extra mile to make sure the patient’s concern is resolved. Additionally, she’s very thorough and friendly. I’m very lucky to be under her care :)
Dr. Susan Bard is a RUDE & NASTY derm. Do not ever allow her to treat you because she has a horrible bedside manner and vicious streak. I had a tele-visit with her during the Pandemic, showed her my condition and then she demanded that I come into the office, even though I reminded her that there's an Omicron variant threatening in-person visits. She does not deserve to be a doctor as she does not care about patients at all and refused to prescribe me medication in the end and was most hostile, even demanding records from a retired derm I used pre-Pandemic!
Dr. Bard is RUDE & NASTY! Don't even waste your time on a video visit as this is not lucrative enough for this greedy & unprofessional doctor. Her staff is equally nasty & discourteous. Dr. Bard did not help me at all with my medical problem & kept demanding I come into her office during the Covid 19 Pandemic! You have been warned!
Terrible, awful experience. I went in for a cyst removal so two separate encounters with Dr. Bard (one for the consultation and then the procedure itself). The first time I saw her, I waited 30 minutes in the patient room before she saw me. She rushed through my consultation and took less than 5 minutes. During my procedure, she did not allow time for questions, did not provide a thorough explanation and rushed through the whole process, zero bedside manner. And it gets worse: her phone rung FOUR times and not once did she silence the ringer. As she is cutting into my head, Dr. Bard and her medical assistant are bickering back and forth-- the medical assistant questioning the Dr. and the Dr. scolding her back -- completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. After she sews me up, she leaves the room without saying anything and does not provide any info on aftercare. A very weird and excruciating experience. I definitely do NOT recommend this doctor or the office - the reception staff are extremely unhelpful as well.
This place is amazing. The doctor is very nice and caring. I definitely recommend this place!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
