List of Swedish Hospital Cancer Center's Reviews
Every time I have parked in the Foster Pavilion garage I have trouble getting out. If I try purchasing a ticket, it takes my money and does not print. If I'm lucky enough to get a ticket, I'm not able to use it at the gate because the reader is jammed. If I try multiple credit cards the reader declines them. When I call security they hang up on me or attribute it to user error. I have spoken to multiple people with similar complaints. I have used garages at multiple hospitals and other venues with no problems before. Maybe your gates and security needs to be replaced. Open your eyes!
No puede ser posible que tratando de algo grave y delicado , cancelen mi cita el mismo día! Y me hagan otra cita para dentro de 30 días
Very good communication with doctors. Best portal that I have seen. Also we to its convenient for to us.
We belong to North Shore Medical Group (Evanston, Skokie, Glenbrook, Highland Park hospitals) and they acquired Swedish not too long ago. My husband was referred to a neurosurgeon in the neurology center just behind the hospital so we went there often before his recent surgery. The hospital itself is on California on the north side of Chicago and parking is only $4 a day, unlike at Evanston where you pay by the hour and it can get pricey. They have a large Filipino population of nursing staff, all of whom were caring and attentive the day my husband had surgery. The waiting room is comfortable and while I went out for lunch so I didn't try the cafeteria, they did have coffee available and a vending area for convenience. They also have a charging station for cell phones. The facility as a whole is not as posh as the other facilities on the north shore, but they certainly bill the same!! It's a decent addition to the medical group. No complaints.
Best hospital in the North shore area in Illinois .....best doctors with bedside manner that know what they're doing
DR Schreiber gave me the Max Radiation for my Throat Cancer and when the Cancer Spread from my Throat to Bones ...He said and I Quote "If we cant save you...WHY Help you at All"? I have a Lump under my Left Arm and its Growing.......... Merry Freakin Christmas.....Dr Schreiber should have His Med Lic taken away.
Ok there's something that pisses me off this hospital. So we got here first at the hospital & we told them the problem that my husband was having. The stupid lady was being rude to us if we we're telling her the situation that my husband has. So we waited 4 fucking hours to know the results. And we asked 2 times when will the rooms will be available. This person said " oh no we don't have rooms available". Ok so we came here first & the other people who came late get to go first like thats not fair. Fuck everyone here honestly.
First let me start by saying this has nothing to do with coved. We in the north side by foster and California know this hospital has a bad reputation but with the money put on from donors and the merge with north shore I thought they had changed. Apparently not!. My father was admitted to the hospital for uti. Urinary tract infection. He stayed for 3 weeks. Now my father has Alzheimer's, but he is a good patient. All they had to do was put him in boots so he wont get any bed sores and a wedge on his right side due to a wound that WAS literally about to close. He went in with NO wounds except on the hip which was healing . it was not swollen , there was no bruising at all. Let me also explain that I called and spoke to the nurse who was on shift every single day twice a day to not only ask how my father was but to make sure they had the boots on and changed the wedge. I was told oh yes we did it and everything is fine. Not to mention every time I called it was told the wound team just left and they took care of his wound. And I was told it looks good. So fast forward to him coming home. He came back with 9 WOUNDS!!! Black open and blue. Stage 3 to 4 !!! It was unbelievable!!! I am my fathers caregiver this is what I do. Not to mention I also have a nurse who sees him. As you can imagine i was livid!!! They tried to blame coved and because he has Alzheimer's!!!! If you can believe it!! They are despicable!!! I did digging of my own , and nurses came forward other families who said this is normal. Its a business. I have contacted the state department and insurance company. Its neglect!!! Not mention I have pictures. Before and after. If you let them get away with it they will keep doing it!!! Hold them accountable!!!!
My dad and I got the most terrible experience dealing with this center. Worst behaviors of front desk staff (directly seeing in person and calling): unfriendly, unhelpful, impolite, rude, and full of contempt to patient. Phone hung up like forever. No excuse, no call back. The way they treated and looked down on my dad at reception was unacceptable. The bad thing is that my dad has no other choices because he needs the blood infusion here.
I used to go to Swedish for everything, but their organizational system has gotten too annoying and complicated. You can't call any doctors' offices directly anymore-- you always have to go through the same main number, no matter who you're calling, and wait on hold for a long time before you can be directed to anyone else. Once I had to call Dr. Hassan's office multiple times to finally get someone to call me back with test results from an annual exam. When a staff member finally did call back, she gave me test results from the annual exam from the year prior! I was floored. I had to remind her that the results I wanted were from *this year's* exam. Also, last time I tried to make an appointment through the SCH portal, my request was confirmed via email as "received" but then completely ignored. So I'm done. I won't go here at all anymore.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
