Tooth Fairy World - Lincoln Park's Online Review Report Card

Myself and 2 children went here. It started okay, then they got a new secretary and it went to shit. I called to set appointments and never got called back or appts came with my children. They mixed my number with someone else and I was getting their appt calls and text. Now I and my children have to start all over with a new dentist.

The dentist practice is fine. They take on too many orthodontic clients, however, and thus have no availability. I've spent hours of my life trying to get appointments at either location, and shuffling my kid around town. We chose the practice because we could walk from our house, but end up having to drive to the other location most of the time. This was not explained as a potential issue when we started. We are being as flexible as we possibly can be - missing school and work!!!!!! - with no flexibility on their end. They simply have too many patients for the one Dr. We are trying to switch providers mid-process now, and will send our younger child elsewhere for sure.

Dr. V is wonderful and I highly recommend her. She is patient, kind, and great with children. My kids have been going to Tooth Fairy World for about 4 years now, and our experience with the dentist herself has always been positive. However, the front desk staff at the Lincoln Park location is very rude and unprofessional. I was asked to provide my children’s insurance card, which I did. The receptionist told me she would call me back after running the insurance to confirm it was in network. Two days later, she called asking why I didn’t call her back with the insurance information, even though she was the one who said she would follow up with me. I kindly explained this to her, but she was still rude. Days later, she called again saying the insurance company couldn’t find me and that no policy existed, even though I had already explained multiple times that the insurance was under my husband’s name and I had provided his information. At that point, I told her not to worry about it and that I would be taking my three children to another dentist. What was most disappointing was that she made no effort to resolve the issue, apologize, or assist. Instead, she simply hung up on me. I am only giving this office 2 stars because Dr. V is great. However, the front desk staff’s behavior, especially at the Lincoln Park location, has been consistently rude and unwelcoming. Customer service and kindness go a long way, especially when dealing with families and children.

The dental clinia was prompt in confirming appointments and the staff was extremely courteous. They are all so friendly and you feel you are a priority to them. You walk in and they immediatly stop what they are doing and greet you. Exceptional!

My son absolutely loves Dr. Vitello and Tooth Fairy World. She has been taking care of his teeth for the past 8-9 years. She’s the best!

BEST DENTIST My son has a phobia of needles. He cannot get blood drawn. BUT Dr. V can put needles and numb his gums without a whimper from him. Her hands are amazing!!! Her bedside manner is amazing. My kids gave been coming here for 8 years, my step daughter her entire childhood. This is the BEST pediatric dentist.

Dr Vitiello is very patient and understands when someone has anxiety

I used to go here through my childhood- now I’m 20 and this place has made me hate the dentist. There was a time when I needed a tooth extracted for an expander and I wasn’t told what was going on until the numbing syringe was in my mouth. Another time later on when I had braces, a technician was preparing my tooth to replace a bracket then the orthodontist came over asking the technician what she was doing. He said she picked up the wrong tool and if she had used it, it would’ve cut right through my enamel. Not very fun to hear as she almost used the wrong tool on my tooth. Once I did have my braces off and had retainers, I needed a replacement because I had misplaced my set of retainers. I got impressions done for new ones and they lost the ones they made and did not inform my family about it- we had just thought it took a long time to make the retainers. When we called and were concerned, they realized they misplaced them but didn’t have the mold of my teeth so I had to go in again and get new impressions taken. The thing is, my teeth had shifted throughout this waiting period so the retainers I ended up with were of my teeth slightly shifted (after years of braces to fix this). As a young adult who went here, please be cautious and use your best judgment. If you enjoy your experience here then I’m glad, but if some things don’t seem to be going right, there are better places out there.

I haven't experienced any scratching on my gums and the service was very nice. I feel very confident with my braces!

The staff were so friendly and professional during our first dental visit there. We had a bit of a commute to get there, and it was worth it! Confident to call this our new dental home.
