List of Tord D. Alden Md's Reviews
Dr. Alden saved my life when I was 16 years old by surgically repairing a cavernous malformation in my brain. The surgery left me temporarily paralyzed, but Dr. Alden instilled hope in me throughout that entire process. He inspired me so much that I wanted to become a neurosurgeon just like him. However, I changed my path a bit since then. Im now 33 and a doctoral candidate in a clinical psychology program and truly happy with my career choice. I owe him quite a bit of gratitude. Not only did he save my life, he inspired me to have the ambition and drive to pursue a career dedicated to helping others. I haven’t seen Dr. Alden since I was about 18, but I think about him all the time. I even referenced him as a role model in several of my essays while applying to doctoral programs. He is a hero in every sense of the word and I wish the very best for him and his family.
Saved my sons life. Best of the best!
Dr. Alden has been our calm in a storm for our son's care. He was the first doctor to give us hope. He literally saved our son's life and I just cannot imagine entrusting our son's care to anyone else. He is just the most incredible NS and human being. We will be forever grateful for him!
Dr.Alden is the best doctor. My son had his shoulder dislocated at gymnastics. We came to ER to put the shoulder back, and they damaged his ulnar nerve. My son could not feel part of his wrist and two fingers for about a year. After Dr.Alden made a surgery replacing damaged nerve by a graft nerve taken from his ankle, my son fully recovered. He has never done anything similar to compare. it was a miracle. It worked out. He is able to practice and compete as a professional gymnast. Thank you doctor!
Nice decent gentleman. May god protect you Dr. Alden. I think you were born to take care of Peds.
Dr. Alden explained to my husband and I everything about our daughters diagnosis. She was born with Chiari malformation. We found out when she was four. Dr. Alden didn’t rush us out of the office, he and his team were sympathetic and supportive. At a time when we really needed it. Dr. Alden let us know everything to except. He helped us to understand the surgery our daughter would undergo. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great doctor.
Dr. Alden is so fantastic. He and his team saved my son's life. highly recommend him to everyone.
Knowledgeable, caring, professional, doctor from the capital D. My son was lucky to be treated and operated by Dr. ALDEN, as he literally saved my son's life. Thank you Dr. Alden
If I could given Dr. Alden a million stars I would. My son had the unfortunate diagnosis of Craniopharyngioma. This is an extremely rare pituitary brain tumor. Dr. Alden and his staff are excellent. Every single appointment he takes times with my son. His bedside manner is excellent. He takes time to explain results, diagnosis and treatments. He pseaks to my son about his physical well being but also asks about his personal life like school and sports. We LOVE LOVE Dr. Alden. He has been a gift to our son and our family. I highly recommend him if you ever need a pediatric neurosurgeon. He is wise, experienced, kind and honest with a strong handshake. I trust him completely.
Awful! Never listened to a word that was said. He was judgmental and egotistical. He clearly had no clue about my son's condition even though he was a self proclaimed specialist in that area. He went so far as to claim my 15 year old was faking it. He then suggested that he go to the pain clinic to mask his symptoms and have him become addicted to pain killers instead of getting to the root of the problem. I expected way more out of Northwestern and their staff. Never again!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
