Dr. Zalay, You are simply amazing! Thank you for making me smile confident again. She is simply an amazing human who loves her job with care. I got my smile back! I never thought I could smile so confidently as I do right now. I had crooked teeth with huge gaps ( top & bottom). Many dentists told me that wearing braces or getting an Invisalign was impossible because I had an implant in my front teeth. Long story short, I can never close those gaps, and that is how my teeth will remain for the rest of my life. ( My teeth can not move because of the implants). Dr. Zalay and her assistant, Amanda, change the whole story. It was truly a challenge, but she accepted it in good faith! Dr. Zalay does such an incredible job working with me to get an Invisalign. She has completely transformed my smile, and no amount of words can describe how I appreciate her services. Indeed, she was born to do this job. She is not just an expert in her field but also kind, respectful, and superhuman. She is my HERO. I can not thank her enough for giving me the confidence to smile again. She customized my teeth, took down the crown, and started my journey with her for my Invisalign. She is truly an expert; she has the knowledge, skills, and ability to make the impossible possible. This job is beyond imagination. I would have if, I have the power to give her an award. Thank you, Dr. Zalay, Amanda, and the UAD staff, members. Continue to make people smile with confidence!
I came toUAD for a second opinion and decided to have the work I needed done there and I couldn’t be happier about my decision. The staff is competent and caring and Dr Schelkopf is amazing! Thank you!
I had a dental emergency and this practice got me in within 1.5 hours of my call. Dr. Zalay was fantastic and helped me very quickly. I learned a bit about what was going on from her concise explanation of my issue. The practice is modern, and within my appointment, all 5 professionals I spoke with were super friendly. This is a great dental practice!
University Associates in Dentistry changed my life and words can't even express how thankful I am for everything they have done for me. In my early 20s I found out I had external resorption with extensive bone loss on my front tooth. Every dentist, periodontist, and oral surgeon that I had seen commented on how my case was the worst case they have ever seen. I had experienced several surgeries and failed bone graphs which led to a bridge that I knew would not be a forever fix and a complete loss of confidence. Once I moved to the city, a friend in the field referred me to Dr. Baer. Dr. Baer allowed me to regain hope and confidence. His expertise in the field is unmatched. He successfully completed multiple bone grafts which allowed me to receive an implant. He made the process as stress free as possible and kept me laughing along the way. From there, Dr. Schelkopf facilitated the finished product by customizing my implanted tooth and crowns for the other front teeth. He did an absolutely beautiful job and has an eye for detail. I cannot thank Dr. Baer and Dr. Schelkopf and the rest of the staff enough for allowing me to regain confidence in my smile and to ease my years worth of anxiety. Their knowledge, communication, and compassion towards their patients cannot be compared. There is no better feeling than getting compliments on your smile. Thank you for changing my life!

I recently saw Dr. Stuart Schelkopf for full veneer placement, and if I had to pick one word to describe the experience it would be this: HORRIFIC. If I had to use two words to describe Dr. Schelkopf, they would be incompetent and dishonest. I’ve made a lot of not-so-smart decisions in my life, but traveling out of state to see Dr. Schelkopf based on his Instagram photos has turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. The red flags were there from the beginning, but here’s an example: during the placement of temporary veneers, he cut my tongue badly. (I was under sedation). He used stitches to close the wound….BUT NEVER TOLD ME. It wasn’t until I texted him later that night and asked “are there stitches under my tongue?” And he tried to downplay it saying it happens often and it’s not a big deal. Well, I’m sure it happens, but the problem here is that he didn’t disclose that information after it happened. I was fully conscious by the time I left and remember. He never denied that he didn’t tell me. Once I got home, my tongue got super swollen, painful, and was covered in white sores, and I sent him photos. He said this was nothing to worry about and gargle with a little salt water. Another thing he did is that he received an email, photos, and X-rays from my endodontist with specific instructions to put a permanent filling in a tooth that recently had root canal treatment. Dr. Schelkopf chose to skip this step, didn’t add the filling, and put a crown over an unfilled tooth. Lucky for me, the crown fell off TWICE after he placed it (red flag???) ) and my endodontist then took more X-rays and discovered it had never been filled. This was a crown that fell off twice during a two week period, and Dr. Schelkopf wanted me to come up there a fourth time so he could glue it back on. WHAT!?! Dr. Schelkopf called all of this a “miscommunication”. I have taken three trips up to Chicago, and I am still missing a back molar and a front veneer which cracked on day 1!!!!!! I also had to have another emergency root canal on an additional tooth! I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on flights and hotels and have finally realized what a fraud he really is. If Dr. Schelkopf has a gift, it is the gift of gab. He will tell you what you want to hear and will try to wordsmith his way out of anything and make false promises. He says he will reimburse me for all of this, yet when I sent him the bill, he claims not to fully understand what I am asking for. He asked to talk to my attorney for clarification. I have given him chance after chance to redeem himself, but I am DONE. I finally told him this is going to turn into so much more because he just cannot be honest. Leaving this review is step one, so that I can prevent someone else from experiencing the same thing. There are many more steps to come… Those are just a few examples of what he’s done, but there are many more. Shall I go on? If you look at the negative reviews for this practice, they will give reply saying “ this person was not a patient”. Oh, how I wish that were true. Unfortunately, I was most definitely a patient- but victim is a more fitting word. “Stuart S” has also left comments on negative reviews as the “office manager” saying we don’t know this patient. I asked him about this, and as first he said it wasn’t him, it was a different “Stuart S”. Then later he admitted it saying at times he acts as the office manager. If he deletes those comments, I will post screenshots here. Don’t walk, RUN away from this practice and this dishonest and incompetent dentist as fast as you can. Merry Christmas, Dr. Schelkopf.
I cannot think Dr bear and his staff enough it was a very very trying situation for me I had to fly from Las Vegas Nevada to Chicago and Dr Berry handle my situation with experiencing and understanding I cannot recommend him enough thank you Dr bear
Dzana did the most thorough and amazing job cleaning my teeth. I can't wait to return and have her as my hygienist. University Associates in Dentistry is a top notch practice. Dr. Marcus is the best.
This team should have a lot more reviews, thus take my 5 and multiply by infinity! We were introduced to Dr Marcus 25 years ago and look forward to another 25. Our next generation is now seeing him. The staff is wonderful from the front to the back. and Dr M's infectious laugh, willing smile and calm demeanor will relax any one in the chair. Thanks for all the great care, you guys are the best!
I recently had some cosmetic dentistry performed by Dr. Marcus and his team. I could not be more pleased with the results. The office was patient in sitting down and hosting the appropriate consultation with me to learn what I was hoping to get from new cosmetic bridge work. All around pleased with the service, professionalism and final product.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
