Just an update! After posting this review my daughter was able to find a great mental health professional and has been doing GREAT!!! Previous medication provided to my daughter was ALL WRONG! For anyone still struggling ZOCDOC actually helped and they are great with visits! Also, update on this place they NEVER reached out to me or my daughter about this post... This is just a great example of how horrible UPTOWN psych Is and how they don't care at all about the wellness of their patients.
Everyone is all over the place there , rude front desk females ,they never have an answer to any questions asked, they always go to their " manager" for answers but then that manager only cares about payments, she's very dismissive. I wasn't able to keep my appointment and they made me rescheduled until I got paid they make it so difficult for patients to keep mental health in track , they don't care about their patients, unless it's a male person infront of them and they get to flirt that's the only thing that makes them happy ,very unprofessional, I highly recommend staying away from this place.

First I saw a psychiatirst and later a physician's assistant there. The psychiatirst was odd, but decent. The PA was completely inappropriate. She ignored a request for a medication refill. She also lectured me about how she would handle my weight issue when I did not ask and the issue was not in her purview.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! I was a patient for far too long. I regret not seeking new treatment sooner, but being in such a terrible place I was hopeful that somebody with a background in psychiatry would care the slightest bit. I was wrong. I first started out with Aloha Leblanc and she left after three sessions. I was then switched to Mai Nguyen and there’s not a nice word I can think of when it comes to her being a provider. But if you love someone who will attend all but 3 of your sessions at a minimum of 20 minutes late, have to repeat yourself multiple times to get her to understand something you’re seeing in the portal by literally saying exactly what you see and it still be “I don’t know what you’re seeing”, only having a knowledge of outdated coping tools, and CONSTANT prescription issues making you go without your medication for so long you experience side effects then Mai is your girl. Uptown psych is a chop shop, they don’t care about patient care, their staff don’t want to do their job (Mai has directly told me they don’t answer calls or respond to emails so to use the portal that doesn’t work 99% of the time) Our last session I told her I’d rather go into a psychiatric hold than seek any help from her or uptown psych. Do better Uptown Psych before you cause so much stress to a patient they take their life because being treated by you has definitely made me question if trying to care for myself is even worth the battle you made it to be
You will spend more time trying to get in contact with a human than you will in an appointment with a practitioner. I’ve been a patient since 2019 and since the remodel of the building, the lack of staff and length of time staff has stayed has clearly diminished. I’m on my 4th psych/practitioner for medication and each time I am charged for a new patient appointment, even though I’m at the same practice. I’m so sorry to each of you who shared you are not being given your proper medication, I will be moving on from here in fear of that.
TLDR - DON'T GO HERE. I've been a patient here for 2 years and I've had 3 different providers (the first two left the company entirely, that should've been my first sign to leave). Suuuper disorganized! It's nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone. I've been out of medication multiple times with an inability to reach anyone for a refill. They ask you to send a message in the portal to request an appointment but then are unresponsive. It's nearly impossible to reach them via phone. Just today alone, I've been on hold for 40 minutes and counting...please do yourself a favor and look for other providers.
No one showed up to my telehealth appointment. Instead I got a phone call 2 minutes into the zoom meeting, which I didn’t answer because I was IN THE TELEHEALTH MEETING letting me know that I actually wasn’t covered after all despite asking and being told I was on multiple occasions. I later called the office and had to leave a voicemail after going through the automated message system 3 times without finding a way to actually talk to someone on staff. Finally 20 minutes later I got a call back letting me know that to be seen I had to agree to spend $150+ instead of the expected $15 co-pay.
Do not go here. I was desperate and wanted to see a provider, so I ignored all of the negative reviews for Uptown Psych. I started seeing them in August 2024- they have yet to submit a claim to my insurance. I have had 6+ conference calls with my insurance and Uptown Psych- each time I confirm my information on file and each time I call back they say the information is wrong. They're billing me $600+, its been 6 months. The billing department is unorganized and the lack of corrections is infuriating.
Listen to the other reviews and beware of this place. Dr Jennifer Phan was extremely judgemental during my intake. I have never felt less supported by a provider in my life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
