I have been going to Visionary Eye Care for over 10 years and nothing compares to the care, customer service, and overall experience. Dr. Ciszek is the man. My eyesight is not “legally blind”, but might as well be without contacts or glasses correction. He’s advised me on possible eye issues/warning signs that could arise and when to contact them if any of these occurred. Any question I’ve had, He explains it in a way that’s simple to understand. If I’ve had a follow up, once again, BAM! He answers it in a way non optical experts can understand. They have locations in the Loop and in Andersonville which is perfect (for me at least). Lastly - they work with a lot of medical and eye insurances. My insurance has changed several times over the years and they have explained what my benefits cover better than my company’s own HR. If you need an eye exam or an eye doctor; look no further.

The staff and physician at Visionary Eye Care are amazing! I’m always greeted promptly with a welcoming greeting and warm smiles. The Clark Street location is my favorite because of the aquarium. LBVS Dr. Ciszek is the absolute best! Consistently patient and kind while finding the best options to help improve the quality of my vision. I’ve been a patient for probably 10 years and I have no desire to change providers.

Everything was great from making my appointment to my exam and all the help picking out my frames which is my least favorite part I would definitely recommend them

Dr. Michael Ciszek is the best optometrist I've ever been to! I wish I remembered the person who performed my vision exam, but I believe he maybe was a student in visionary's externship program? If so, he was more thorough and attuned that any eye doctor I've been to and should be commended by his program for his excellent performance. Dr. Ciszek read my intake paperwork before seeing me and they found in the exam that I have binocular vision difficulties so I am about to get prism lenses to help with my horrendous migraines and eye strain! I can't wait to be in less pain! They also found I have a benign condition that usually impedes the ability to dx certain eye diseases. I say "usually" because Dr. Ciszek actually discovered an X-raying technique that allowed him to capture a clear view of my eye which will make it easier for my future doctors to diagnose and treat eye disease if I do ever develop it. He sat down with me to explain everything in-depth in a way that I could easily understand and was eager to answer all of my questions. The opposite of condescending, I can tell he is an amazing teacher and wonderful doctor who cares about all of his patients. The receptionist and front desk people were all so nice and helpful too, and it was easy to access a copy of my prescription. The only downfall is that their patient portal is soooo glitchy. Anyways, cannot recommend Dr. Ciszek enough!

I have been a patient of Michael Ciszek for years. He's so knowledgeable, kind and despite the fact that I never look forward to telling him what the lowest line I can read clearly without squinting, the visit is always enjoyable. He's listens and makes recommendations that are always best for me. I truly appreciate his level of care.

The service provided was completed in a timely manner. Pricing should be explained up front and the doctor could have been more personable.
