List of Zibute G. Zaparackas's Reviews
My son had a pretty solid case of exotropia that only surgery would fix.Dr. Zaparackas performed the necessary surgery on him at about age 4-5 and fixed the problem. Enough said.
We had the worst experience with this doctor. My daughter was two years old when we went here for her first appointment. She was scared and started to cry when she saw the machine that is used, and was apprehensive to put her face in it. The doctor told us that we better get her to stop crying and, in so many words, she needs to get over it. She was two! She has a bad bedside manner and I’m shocked she works with children given her lack of empathy. On top of that, she missed the inflammation that was in my daughter’s eye that another doctor (who we love and continue to see) caught shortly after. I do not recommend this doctor.
It's been 36 years since Dr. Zaparackas did the eye surgery on my daughter's crossed eyes when she was only a few months old but to say that delicate operation was life changing would be a gross understatement. Erin graduated college and became a teacher. She's married to a wonderful man who appreciates her so much. I think about and pray for Dr. Zaparackas a lot. I thank God for her gifts she was able to use for my daughter to have a fulfilling life. I know God will show Dr. Zaparackas what a difference she made in people's lives. Thank you.
Dr Zaparackas is very nice and patiently explained to us her assessment. The appointment occurred on time and staffs are friendly as well. We were told by another doctor for a surgery on my 10yrs old daughter's lower lid epiblepharon, but Dr Zaparackas shared her prudent opinion based on her experience of seeing kids with similar issues and make us avoided unnecessary procedure. Truly appreciated and we will definitely come back for regular eye exam going forward.
Ridiculous experience. From the moment I called to make the appointment to the end of the 2+ hour visit, it was a terrible experience. They "aren't able to send email confirmation of your appointment..." Are you kidding me?! We arrived and waited a very long time. After one family left (with a particularly rambunctious little guy) the staff was talking negatively about the mom saying, "why couldn't she realize how annoying that was - just control your kid!" Um, you are a practice FOR CHILDREN! Try to gain an ounce of empathy! The nurse shouted at both of my children several times to "stop doing that" and "stop slouching - sit up straight - you are making this take too long!" I was abhorred. The offices are like something from the 70's and the doctor's bedside manner is absolutely horrible. The only book they had in the exam room was this terrifying and graphic book about wolves which scared my daughters (see pics). I had to fill out a ridiculous amount of paperwork (twice), despite the fact that all of the information was the same. It seems like everyone at this practice hates being there, which creates a horrible experience. I don't think anyone smiled once the entire time we were there. The doctor was very demanding that I "not be cheap" and go to a specific glasses store that doesn't take insurance and was going to charge me $900 for two pairs of glasses (which were hideous).I hope everyone there was just having a horrible day (and that's the reason for this experience), but based on other reviews, I doubt it. If you enjoy being treated like garbage, then this is the place for you and your kids. If not, go somewhere else.
Excellent doctor. Just. Simply. The.Best.
Dr. Z did my eye surgery almost 40 years ago and now cares for my children. She is a fantastic doctor, with a wonderful bedside manner. I'm genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews. I would recommend Dr. Z to anyone and everyone.
I feel obligated to write this review just based on the negative ones out there...I would not be here without Dr. Z. I was an early patient of her's from the 80's (now lucky enough to be in my 30's thanks to Dr. Z) and was diagnosed with retinoblastoma. Dr. Z performed an enucleation of my right eye and I have returned to her almost every year since for my check up. If you are looking for a doctor to give you a warm fuzzy feeling and a participation trophy (as I expect many of the negative reviewers do), then do not see Dr. Z, if you want a Dr. who knows what she's doing and will always tell you straight, then definitely go! If you are going to an ophthalmology appointment, chances are you already know there is a problem and sugar coating will do nothing to help.
An expert in ophthalmology with compassion and care! I’m a school principal and have recommended Dr. Z to parents whose children have had serious eye problems. Everyone has been so pleased and continue to drive 2 1/2 hours to see her.
This doctor needs bedside manner classes. She completely brushed off everything we said. Wouldn't listen to us. Hardly qualifies for a doctor.Stay away.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
