I have been his patient since April and he has done nothing but be helpful. He’s not a therapist, however he makes sure you’re okay before you leave. Your appointments will be short if you don’t have any issues. It’s easy to get an appointment with him. I like him as my psychiatrist. I think this is important to note for patients seeking services - the office psychiatrists do not prescribe medications like xanax. So if that is the method of treatment you are looking for, you’d probably have success somewhere else!
I highly recommend Dr. McMillan. He really cares about his patients and presents a very calm demeanor!
Would give zero stars if I could. All of these negative reviews are completely accurate. Please don’t waste your time, find another provider!
Don’t listen to these ridiculous comments. I had my first visit with him today and he’s very nice, caring and supportive.
He's always late then talks to you for 5 minutes. Does NOT care about what you have to say. He'll interrupt you when you're explaining a question he's asked. But if you wanna chime in during when he's speaking it's an immediate "Don't interrupted me when I'm speaking" he's the worst doctor I've ever seen and I hope he loses his license to practice medicine.
I was shocked at what I was told by my mother regarding this “healthcare professional”. My brother is (or rather was as he will never be making another appointment) a patient of his, and during his latest appointment my mother sat in on the video call in order to add in some of the symptoms she had been noticing in my brother. One thing about my mom, she’s a fast talker. And she was talking faster than usual due to the fact that my brother mentioned that this psychiatrist only spends a max of 5 minutes talking to him, because it would be wild to spend more than that amount of time with a patient whose coming to you for help, right? Anyway, after she’s finished going down her written list that she wanted to mention to this psychiatrist, the first thing he asks her is if she had ever been diagnosed as bipolar, because he thinks she should be. He told her she was acting manic. I was flabbergasted. First of all, my mother is not his patient. How dare he try to diagnose her after hearing her talk for 2 minutes. Second of all, how extremely condescending and rude of him to make a mother who is simply trying to talk about her sons symptoms in order to get him help, feel like she is acting manic because she’s a fast talker. It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous. He is ridiculous. At every appointment he’s always been cold and short, acting like my brother is inconveniencing him, but this was the final straw. My brother will find someone else, and I highly suggest nobody make a single appointment with this man. He calls himself a health professional but the way he conducted himself was the furthest thing from professional. I promise you can find someone better.
Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a psychiatrist. He was always very condescending and has no bedside manner. I told him I had a very difficult time with a few of the medications he had prescribed due to the side effects and when I told him they made me feel worse he raised his voice at me had an attitude and told me if you don’t take these medications I can’t help you. After this appointment I had an awful panic attack and knew I had to switch doctors immediately. I have no regrets about leaving. As someone who works in the healthcare industry (in psych) I would never recommend someone like him to “help” any of my patients.
Accurate that so many of his reviews describe him as condescending. He has terrible bedside manner and I regret the 8 months I wasted with this control freak of a Doctor. Very rude and teaches his male nurse to act the same.
If your thinking about using this doctor I would use someone else!
Disinterested, forgetful, extremely rude. Felt worse after my visits with him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
