List of Maleeha Ahsan's Reviews
Dr. Ahsan suffers the expert effect Dr. Ashan does not collaborate well with others. Her care is belittling of other healthcare professionals that hold the status of ARNP and PA. My mother was admitted to the hospital after being aggressive due to mental illness (bipolar depression and under complicated grief after the recent loss of her husband). Dr. Ashan said she was doing well in the hospital but when my mom was visited just before returning home after being medicated she was worse than when she was admitted. Dr. Ashan is unreachable on her own island where she is the expert among anyone and everyone around her. She provides no follow ups and has made the patients condition worse. Seek medical care elsewhere where the doctor actually cares about the patients success post release.
My teenage son suddenly started exhibiting extreme impulsive and destructive behaviors. Dr. Ahsan never delved into why this 16 year old had such a complete behavioral change. She saw 4 people every 15 minutes, seeing him for a total of 3 minutes a time. During these couple minutes, she prescribed excessive and increasingly strong medications. She had him taking extremely strong knock out drugs, 3 pills x 3x a day, in addition to many other pills. When I called her for help, she didn’t respond and was of no help. She wrote him off as a drug addict. After a year of this mistreatment, my son had a Grand Mal seizure. We discovered that all this time, he had a brain tumor and the over medicating just exacerbated the condition. Despite our repeated statements that this was a sudden, drastic change in behavior, she never explored further, treating him like he had no value. I wouldn’t let her treat my worst enemy!!
This woman practices torture not medicine It's absolutely heartbreaking to see all of these abusive experiences. I came here to see what Maleeha scored after being reminded of my horrific experience. I am not surprised but rather horrified. Dr. Maleeha Asahn absolutely DID hold me captive in her psych facility and made it very clear with every interaction that you had to play her game in order to leave. Her game includes forcing you to take an antipsychotic as part of her ritualistic treatment regime. She takes no more than 2 minutes to see you and if you are inpatient the weekends do not count towards your time spent in treatment - on paper I was there for 5 days but in real life I was there for 7. Not only did she force a complete and rapid taper from a high dose benzodiazepine during that time she also allowed nursing staff to confiscate a hygiene product I needed due to an unrelated medical issue that was made worse by the severe withdrawal. Dr. Maleeha Asahn even walks and talks like the villain she is.
I’ve been seeing dr Anshan for many years. I’m grateful…thankful…for her tender kindness. Diane W.
Absolutely the worst and the most unprofessional physician I have ever encountered. Rude, offensive, disinterested, unqualified, and all around lack of intelligence. Barely speaks english. Tries to intimidate. Avoid at all costs.
Not reliable. Never follows through, except on her charging :) and if you’re taking medications that could impair your liver, best to just ask your pcp for a liver enzyme check. My little sister died because of this doctors negligence.
Dr. Ahsan has been taking care of me for years always available always fills my meds on time it's unfortunate that people find a way to always blame doctors I think you're great doctor Ashan and I want to thank you for everything you do for me. Julie Z
I wrote a review and there was a typo it said "Great doctor and son", it should have said, " "You are great Dr. Ahsan"!! Again, thank you for all you do for me and all you do to help me. Julie
DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BEING A PATIENT OF MALEEHA! SHE IS A HORRIBLE DOCTOR> I WOULD GIVE HER A 0 ON THE SCALE
Brother was admitted to the hospital after being aggressive due to mental illness (schizophrenia). She said he was doing well in the hospital but when he returned home after being medicated he was worse than when he was admitted. Continued fighting with family and we are unable to reach her at the doctors office. No follow ups and it has only gotten worse. Seek medical care elsewhere where the doctor actually cares about the patients success post release

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
