THIS MAN IS HORRIBLE! If he is your last option, better find someone else.

June was exceptional and Dr. Swanson was so quick I was amazed!

Absolute worst place to go. I have no idea how he is still practice after reading reviews and talking to others. I am completely mind blown. I went in yesterday to have two teeth removed. I waited for an hour and was called into the room. Which I did not feel was clean. Chairs were nasty and had garage lamps plugged in sitting on the floor in the corners. That alone made me nervous. The nurse came in put my pulse ox on, blood pressure cuff, and then the doctor came in. She put the gas on me and the doctor told me to open my mouth and started. I told him I was scared he said he wasn’t why was I. I asked if it was going to hurt he said it wasn’t going to hurt him. He put a shot in and I flenched. I was completely caught off guard. I thought he was going to explain the process or let the gas kick in or even just tell me before he started sticking me with shots. Which none of those things happened. I He threw the shot into the tray and said “I’m not doing this. Your done.” Then walked out. The nurse tried to reassure me then also walked out. They left me in the chair for a few minutes before another nurse came in and tried to talk me into being out to sleep for him to preform the same service. Absolutely not!! This dentist has major anger issues. I have no idea why people are going to him. I had an infection I was hospitalized for and needed in right away this is where my dentist could get me in. This happened yesterday and I have since talked to three people about my experience and they all had bad experiences with this dentist. I wish I would’ve asked around and read reviews before I wasn’t my day there. I waited until today to leave a review because luckily enough my dentist called another oral surgeon in effingham and they just had a opening for the next day. I went in at 9:50 they had me in a room by 10:10. Explained everything, super kind, great bed side manner, professional, and just all around amazing. Absolutely no pain start to finish. Like I said I have no idea why people are going to this place. Make the extra drive, pay the extra money, wait the extra day. Nothing is worth the trauma this will put you through

They got me in before anyone else could and now I see why. They charge 50% up front which would be fine had they given me a heads up. They made me wait in the waiting room for an hour before finally calling me up and tell me I owed over $500. Who can do that without even a heads up? Missed work and still have to find another dentist to do the work.

Will make you wait over 2 hours for a simple procedure.

I will say they were very busy and I had a long wait time. However, it has been only 3 days and I still feel no pain. The stitches already came out and I had little to no bleeding after my extraction. He was quick with the procedure and I didn't even realize he had finished. Best and fastest extraction I have ever had done. The staff was friendly and nice during registration and waiting.

I've gotten my wisdom tooth removed before and this was far more pain then I suspected. My gums are swollen I can't even open my mouth wide. Never going there again. I can't sleep anymore and it seems like the pain is getting worse by the day.

Had 2 teeth break off at the gums. Dr Swanson cut the roots out and stitched them up. He discussed implants and explained how the procedure worked. I found the doctor pleasant and answered any question I had. No he doesn’t sit around and have small talk as he had many patients waiting in need of his service. Will defiantly go back to him.

Very unprofessional/unethical experience. Never introduced himself nor even a simple hello. Numbed me with nitros and left me there to sit for around an hour without checking in. I was becoming paranoid and it didn’t help there wasn’t anyone there checking in. After my root canal removal he left and never saw him again. Most unprofessional experience, wasn’t expecting this from someone who you’d think would be held to high standers after graduating from Northwestern.
