List of MIchael Smith's Reviews
Dr. Smith knows his field of ENT, along with overall medical knowledge. However, he lacks ability to relate to the patient. He made me feel very rushed and hesitant to ask questions. He only wanted me to listen to him. It was obvious he wanted to get done, both in the appointment and on the phone when giving test results. He is past retirement age and should give serious consideration to doing so. He does not seem to enjoy what he is doing at all. His medical knowledge does not compensate for his lack of desire to relate to the patient.
After Dr. Smith took over from my previous doctor who left I was initially impressed. After the mixed messaging nonsense I received today from his nurse I am just a bit aggravated. Tried asking clarifying questions and felt I was being run around and not taken seriously. I will go to my family doctor and see if they know how to talk to patients. In the meantime, I suggest his nurse learn how to convey information.
Really liked Dr. Smith. Unfortunately the office schedules months out so if you need to follow up or have issues you can't get in for 2+ months. Probably going to have to switch providers because of this issue, unfortunately.
Dr. Smith is so nice. He is great with kids. Visits are short and too the point, but he is warm and friendly. I would give him/his office 5 stars, but I am a little put out about his medical leave and them not offering a back up ENT for follow ups and issues.
He’s been absolutely horrible to work with. Awful bedside manner. Refused to answer my questions on wether or not my tubes would naturally come out of my ears and when I simply asked what do we do if they don’t come out, he laughed and “promised” they would. 6 months later they are still in. Now he is on medical leave and the other doctors in his office say they won’t share patients and that I need to go to my family doctor. So I did and she referred me back to them.
Dr. Smith has taken care of my son and my grandson, as well as my Elderly father. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything very clearly. Both of them had to have surgery and he was excellent with the children, explained all the risks, side effects and what to expect after surgery. He was very patient and kind with my father and took the time with him to make sure that he understood what going on every step of the way. His information was very accurate and clear!! We really trust Dr. Smith with our family.

Dr Smith is absolutely amazing. The first walking into his office he immediately took our daughter in his arms and was talking away with her(8 months old)... the attention he showed was outstanding. Our daughter had several ear infections. We finally got referred to Dr Smith and he insisted our daughter needed tubes. He performed her surgery with ease. He explained everything in great detail. We have a whole new baby thanks to Dr Smith. We would recommend him to anyone.
He was rude and the audiologist in his office was positively deplorable. She chastised my son, even wiggling her finger in his face, telling him he was going to be deaf if he wasn't careful - only problem was that his hearing loss is a congenital abnormality. We WILL NOT EVER GO BACK!!!
Dr. Smith goes above and beyond! He is WONDERFUL! He treats myself and my children! I trust him 100%! :) Very happy with Dr. Smith!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
