After one appointment, I'm impressed. Competent manner, asked good questions, had a handle on my situation.

I have seen him twice in 4 years. He is the gold standard for what a doctor should be. He is personable, caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I have had two neck operations and both of them began with my seeing him first. I trust him completely and I'm grateful to have had him as a doctor!

Dr. Bardfield is very thorough. Looked over scans and then did a thorough physical exam. Explained what his findings were and together decide on a course of action.

Saw him more than once for back pain, each time w a new MRI to review. His proposed treatment plan was shots which I decided against, then saw three other spine doctors. Each said my spine was in grave condition, fusion was the universal recommendation.

I am very grateful to this Doctor and all the staff at the Hinsdale Orthopaedics. The nurses and staff here are very courteous. As far as the shots, I did go with local instead of anesthesia. There was a couple pinches but, not too bad. The process was fast and the only pain I had walking of of the office was where Dr. Bardfield gave me the shots. Woke up this morning (day after shots) and I couldn't tell you the last time I didn't have the back pain and the shooting pain down the left leg and foot. I feel like a new person. Dr. Bardfield listened carefully, asking good questions where needed. He was patient and reassuring throughout the visit. Dr. Bardsfield explained things clearly and provided the reasoning behind his recommendations. He also included a recommendation for a plan of care moving forward. With some doctors, one has the sense that their time is important, and after your 15 minutes are up, they move on and are no longer interested in your care. Dr. Bardsfield takes the time that is needed to make sure that he understands your concerns and cares about the next steps in your plan of care. Thank you, Dr. Bardfield!

Everything went smoothly. I was called in right at the time of my appointment, and a nurse took some info (i.e., reason for visit, medications). Dr. Bardfield came in about 30 seconds after the nurse left. He had already read my mri and asked some specific questions about the location and extent of my pain. He then performed an exam and told me his findings and recommendations. I had a number of questions which he responded to in "laymen's" terms. All in all, I found him to be a very caring and professional physician.
