Dr Rao is very good at listening to his patients and understanding their concerns. He is professional and has a good bedside manner. He also has excellent, up to date knowledge about the medical practice. He uses technology to make a seamless visit.

My mom had to change her doctor of many years and Dr. Rao was recommended to us. He was extremely kind and patient to her and very thorough. I had a few questions after her appointment and he followed up with me very quickly.

I've been going to Dr. Rao for 2 years since I moved to Illinois. Never...NEVER...have I had the attention from a doctor that Dr Rao gives me. He has helped me to stay on top of my health. Occasionally, when he needs to refer me, he has relationships with several specialists. But primarily we, yes-we, are able to decide treatments and apply them. And he LISTENS...really listens. AND he's called me at home to clarify prescriptions he is calling into the pharmacy. Just OUTSTANDING!!!

Went to Dr.Rao for some blood work as I was feeling extremely weak all time with headaches etc. I am overweight so I figured I need to check to make sure I'm not diabetic or pre-diabetic. Within 2 minutes of my appt. Dr. Raos' student nurse practitioner from chamberlain told me I should get gastric bypass. She told me if she was me she would do it and that I reminded her of her sister, I was shocked to say the least. She then told me she checked my insurance and that I qualify for full coverage. I called my insurance when I went home and I was not qualified for ANY coverage what so ever. I got a referral to see a surgeon who does GB and had to turn down an appt they wanted to set up for me because I was uncomfortable. Dr. Rao not only did nothing to stop his student NP, but agreed with her and said I should get a major surgery within 15 minutes of knowing me. Safe to say i will be finding a different doctor who's not out for money.

Dr. Rao is a rare physician who listens and does not rush his time with you. He is a creative problem solver, well versed in traditional and emerging treatments. Dr. Rao is caring and thoughtful. Very highly recommended!!!
