Our daughter has had a high fever for going on 8 days. We took her in by day 4 and were told if she didn't improve or got worse to call back after day 7. Our daughter started to complain of a terrible sore throat to the point that she can't eat much, non stop coughing and threw up multiple times, along with the high fever still, so we called back following THEIR procedures we were told to follow. Dr. Matusiak ran a second strep test, (we had one on Thursday afternoon/evening came back negative) which came back negative. Dr. Matusiak was very rude when breaking the results to us by saying "Bad news, its negative. Now I know you wanted it to be positive so you would get antibiotics and be all better by tomorrow. Do popsicles." first of all, we followed YOUR guidelines to care for our daughter who has now lost close to 1lbs since being seen between Wednesday and Saturday because he throat is so bad she can't eat, throws up because she's coughing so bad, and Dr. Matusiak has the nerve to joke that we were hunting for medicine. Absolutely unprofessional. The nurses and receptionist are wonderful.
I normally do not write reviews but do NOT get your ultrasound by Barbara (older blonde lady with the glasses). Extremely rude and unprofessional…..endeavor …make sure your employees are better trained at being nice to patients, I spend ALOT of money to get treated here. If she is unsatisfied with her job then make sure she doesn’t go nuts on the patients here. Avoid at all costs.
The wait time is ridiculous, over 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment. It's gone way downhill since it became endeavor health.
The wait time for a urine sample collection is beyond ridiculous. I waited over an hour and a half to be called. Two people came AFTER me and were called ahead of me. No structure. Lack of communication. Just go somewhere else.
I highly don’t recommend having Dr Matusiak as your pediatrician. Our first time meeting this man and He was extremely rude and rough with my baby during our well being check visit . He did not acknowledge or show compassion to my 4 month old baby. He seemed like he did not want to answer my questions and was very short answered . Did not help me at all in fact made me extremely uncomfortable the whole visit . He had made false statements in the after visit summary and had said I refused shots for my baby without including the reason why I refused was because of how rude he was and therefore I did not want him to proceed doing so . I had told him I would like to schedule shots with the doctor I was recommended to and suppose to see which was not at this location and he had gotten mad when I had also called my mother to get a second opinion on the situation . I did call and make a complaint later that day because I think that was absolutely ridiculous . If you ever come across this doctor please run because he should not be working in the pediatrics department . Very disturbing and honestly sad that elmhurst hospital would even allow this man to come in contact with children .
Hello, my son dislocated his knee during basketball game, and we were taken to ER,, and got help. Later on we were referred to our network orthopedic doctor at Center for Health (we have BCBS HMO insurance and need referrals to see a specialist). After 6 weeks of physical therapy and walking with crutches on 1/29/24 Dr. Ryon M.Hennessey did an Xray. Everything seemed ok, and doctor told my son that he could return to school's PE class beginning 2/5/24, but only while wearing a special knee brace, and he referred us to the Hanger clinic for that. On 1/31/24 my husband and son went to hanger clinic, and could have received the knee brace, however according to Hanger clinic some kind of code was missing on the referral from Dr. Hennessey, so they couldn't give the knee brace to my son. They told they would call us when it is all set and ready for pick up. I waited a day, nothing. Then I called Hanger clinic and asked what was the status of our knee brace. They told me the same thing - some kind of code is missing from the referral, so they can't give it to us. They said they faxed our family doctor and asked to correct the referral. At that time I decided to take matters into my hands. I 1st called our family doctor. They said since my son was already referred to orthopedic specialist, and they referred him to the Hanger clinic, I should call them. That made sense. I called our Orthopedic department and asked for the status of the referral. Orthopedic told me to call Managed Care Services as they handle referrals. I called Managed Care services. They confirmed that Friday 2/2/24 they received a request from Hanger clinic, and that they will work on it. Till 2/5/24 I have not heard back from anyone. Called Hanger clinic again, but they told me exact same thing - the code is missing. Then I called Orthopedic department at our Center for Health, they transferred me to the managed services. Managed services told me to call Orthopedic department... And the game continued. I was on the phone with Elmhurst Center for health for 1hr 3 days in a row during my work hours only to be bounced around like a tennis ball. Long story short today is 2/12/24 and we still do not have proper referral code, and we do not have a knee brace. My son went back to PE on 2/5/24 without the knee brace, and 2 days later he hurt his knee again! I am beyond furious as this is obviously 1st time in the history of Edward Elmhurst Center for health that somebody is asking add a code on the referral. Also, nobody wants to take responsibility or time to take matters into their hands. I understand everybody is busy these days, however somebody is not doing their job!
The mammographer was fast, accurate and efficient . The results were posted fast.
The staff is always friendly and helpful, which helps when your stress levels are high.
Usually a good experience. This time, orders made by cardiologist but results went to primary Dr.
I went in for a pre-employment screening and post-offer physical. Samanda Hanson took care of me. She was AMAZING!! She was 100% patient focused and ensured I had a pleasant patient experience. She saw that I was waiting for the final step of the physical, and the person that was assigned to handle that step was not in yet. Samanda took it upon herself to take care of the final step rather than keep me waiting who knows how long. I appreciated her attention to detail and her willingness to get me taken care of as soon as possible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
