absolutely awful experience with dr washington. wouldn’t recommend to anyone. her bedside manner was awful and was incredibly condescending during my appointment.

I was referred to this doctor by my podiatrist. I am happy with the service that is provided to me The staff goes over and beyond to meet my needs. The entire team is very professional I’m happy with the team.

Called ahead to confirm what was needed for my appointment. I was left on hold for 10mins. I hung up and went to the appointment and was denied service for it having a physical copy of my insurance even thought I provided proof of insurance via the blue cross blue shield IL app as I’ve done in every situation that required insurance. Was excited to for my first experience with a black doctor, so I am leaving frustrated after driving an hour to get here…

I saw this doc to rule out 2 possible diagnoses as indicated by my internist. She ignored one possibility noted in my records until I asked about it specifically. Her response was something like “yeah, it could be that”. Not confidence inspiring at all. Went for the lab tests she ordered and it’s like pulling teeth to get the results and next steps. This doc has no bedside manner whatsoever. Will likely seek another specialist and start over again.

I have been a patient of Dr. Washington for 3 years now. She is thorough, and kind. She is a great listener and so responsive. She diagnosed my thyroid eye disease before my ophthalmologist. She gave me a Freestyle Libre when my insurance wouldn't cover it. She never makes me wait. She helped me get my disability benefits when my eye disease became extremely complicated- something many doctors will not do. She is empathetic. She continues to try to help me even though I am a difficult patient- not checking my blood sugar or wearing my sensor. Doctor Washington, you are an example for what every doctor should aspire to be- and I think you are absolutely wonderful.

I saw her in 2017, and needed to be seen now for the same disease that she helped me with. I was told since it's been so long that she won't see me as I'd be considered a new patient and she's not taking new patients. Even though I'm not, she has treated me for the issue I need help with. When I did go there in 2017 the office staff was horrible. The other doctor there is incredibly rude. Unreliable and don't care about their patients. Hard to find an endocrinologist in the Chicago area that does.

Outstanding Endocrinologist!! I have been a patient of Dr. Washington for almost 10 yrs do to an Under-active Thyroid. I feel great and always have a pleasant visit with her every 6 mo. Friendly, attentive,,curious, and a great conversationalist hahahaha with an equal helpful and friendly staff.

Staff and Dr Terri Wahington are all great! Dr Terri Washington is very knowledgeable on Diabetes. Very one on one with her patients.
