I went to see Dr. Maria Cristina because I had a cough that was non stop, causing me to lose sleep. I had to sleep on the bathroom floor with the hot water running in order to stop coughing. I had been to my doctor and he gave me medication that did nothing. Dr. Maria Cristina did acupuncture and by the next day I was breathing much better. After a few visits I was back to myself. She is amazing.

I had such a great experience at Integral Alternative Medicine. I went in for acupuncture and immediately felt super comfortable. The space is peaceful, and Dr. Maria Cristina Torres is so warm and easy to talk to. She really took the time to listen and made me feel like I was in good hands. The treatment itself was super relaxing, and I left feeling lighter and more grounded. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a more thoughtful, holistic approach in Evanston.

I saw Maria after having taken care of my sick mom for a long time and feeling really drained and exhausted and had a hard time sleeping. Within a minute of the treatment I started feeling totally relaxed and the feeling of well being spread from my neck and brain down my spine to my whole body. I felt amazing afterwards and slept like a baby that night and I highly recommend Maria and her service!
