Dr Shu is simply as good as a Doctor can be.She is so intelligent as well.Dr Shu let me know very early on that she cares for my well-being.
The absolute worst experience. I truly don’t understand how she obtained a medical license. Without talking to me or even going through the appropriate clinical criteria she diagnosed me and prescribed me psychotropic medications. Thankfully my education is in the field of mental health so I did not just take a psych medication which she claimed to be “non addictive.” I won’t even go into the lunacy behind that comment. I’m TRULY concerned for the way she conducts her patient visits. It’s despicable.
I am very grateful that God send me to her.
Dr. Shu is caring and upbeat and has solved various health problems for me. She has followed up with me after appointments (by phone as well as email) and saved me from undue suffering many times. She also makes me laugh, which is good medicine.
Today was my first encounter with Dr.Shu and will be my last. I felt so disrespected during the patient visit. I anticipated a caring and understanding doctor like the reviews before me, but that was not the case for me. She spent more time looking at the computer then having a face to face conversation with me. I ended up having more conversations with the back of her head than her actual face. I understand that inputting information can be tedious but at least glance over at your patient once in while during the patient physician interaction. When I stated that I had already taken the tdap vaccine at a different hospital system in 2019, she refused to listen to me and reordered the vaccine again. The actual “full” physical portion of the test was super rushed. During the encounter she started complaining about my insurance. She stated that it is the equivalent to public aid and ranted about the reimbursement problems with the insurance. In my eyes, it was extremely unprofessional to make disparaging comments about your patients insurance to them. I feel like had I had better insurance I would have been treated with respect which is disappointing because patients whether they are from higher or lower social economics background should be treated equally and not viewed as a dollar sign amount to their doctor especially during the visit. Would not recommend this doctor
I only saw Dr. Shu twice because I had to move, but she was an amazing doctor that cares about her patients and gives very thorough care.
Dr Shu is simply the BEST doctor that I’ve ever have! She is incredibly intelligent, caring, professional and excellent at what she is doing. She masters both English and Mandarin, as well as the two very different cultures and medical knowledges. She makes communication so easy and pleasant, and she is very dedicated to her work and patients. She is truly a GEM! I don’t want to visit doctors often but I really love seeing her!!!:)
I have searched for decades for a doctor like Dr. Shu who is caring, patient, insightful, and understands medicine as both treatment and healing. She is one of the best.
I don’t know how many great things I can say about Dr.Shu. She has been amazing to me and my wife. She actually listens to me and doesn’t go through the numbers. I had sever back pain and ankle pain. I usually feel very awkward around doctors because I read that most doctors think your lying. She has never made me feel this way. However I am 43 years old and the finger check up is pretty awkward lol. But I love her she is great, hope to have her for the rest of my life.
Dr. Shu is by far the best primary care doctor I've seen in my lifetime. She is incredibly intelligent, caring and listens to your concerns. She is the diamond in the rough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
